30th Anniversary for the SDCC

THE San Diego Convention Center celebrated its 30th anniversary on October 24th with an employee luncheon. The center invited all staff and partners to celebrate the people who make the center run. Mark Haley (President) and Julia Slocombe (Senior Director Western Operations) attended this milestone event, as well as all the Smart City San Diego team.

Before the program, guests enjoyed an art exhibit that displayed the story of the Convention Center. One part of the presentation highlighted staff, partners, and customers, while another showed their history and involvement in the local community. It also featured an interactive wall in which guests wrote their own personal Convention Center stories on small hanging cards.
