Smart City Networks’ 3 rd Annual Month of Service

SMART CITY NETWORKS kicked off a nationwide Month of Service to give back to the communities surrounding our partner facilities. During November, Smart City team members from around the nation volunteered to assist local charity organizations. Each organization was thoughtfully selected by the local Smart City team to provide the greatest impact possible to those in need.

Some of or our facility teams support organizations such as; Make-A-Wish’s Hot Chocolate 5K, the USO provide Christmas presents to military families and Ronald McDonald House Charities. One of which was asked to visit RMHC again in six months and is planning to do so.

Several teams volunteered at foodbanks around the country, helping to sort, stock and package tens of thousands of pounds of food, create meals, and feed thousands of kids, seniors and families. Many of our teams participated in Thanksgiving celebrations to feed the homeless, including preparing and serving food. Some locations even hosted the meal in their facilities.

Our corporate team supported the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. In mid-November, on Thursday and Friday, staff prepared meals and supplied food to homeless youth members of the southern Nevada community. Our staff members spent time interacting with them and playing games. It was an enjoyable couple of days and the opportunity to connect with part of our community’s youth was rewarding.
