ON April 22, the Los Angeles Convention Center’s (LACC) Hall K in the South Hall was converted into a massive cinema with a 70-foot screen and state-of-the-art projection and sound technology for Monday’s world premiere of Disney/Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame. For the custom theater, Disney created stadium seating for more than 2,000 guests, which is more than the largest cinemas in Hollywood. The ambitious installation included dual laser projectors offering high dynamic range and immersive sound. It took a full week of construction to transform the LACC’s exhibit hall into this extensive, custom cinema.
