The Santa Clara Convention Center held the AWS Summit 2019 on March 25. It is a free event, attended by 5,000 people, designed to bring together the cloud computing community to connect, collaborate, and learn about AWS.

The AWS Summits are tech-heavy events, and at Santa Clara, in 2019 the show required 275 Mbps of bandwidth, 110 internet drops, 5,500 yards of Cat5 cable, with five separate Wi-Fi sponsorships for 5,000, 300, 250, 200, and 100 users. To meet these requirements, Smart City Santa Clara enlisted the help of five technicians and programmers from San Diego, Anaheim, and Reno for additional support. To ensure the best service for the show the team installed an extra 123 Cisco AP devices, 33 Cisco managed switches, 35 AP stands, and 260 AP antennas.

With everyone coming together Smart City was able to provide top-of-the-line support to the AWS Summit 2019 proving our Business Principle #7–Teams Work.
