Beneaththe success, thecracks were spreading.
Yearsofculturaldislocation, grief, racial pressure,perfectionism,mentaloverload, and self-relianceslowlyweakened hisfoundation. When thepandemic hit, Ashley lost his job, hisfinancialstability,and theidentity he hadbuilt around being”successful”. On his28thbirthday, he found himselfina psychiatricward—exhausted, emptied, and forced into stillness.
