1. INTRODUCTION The pandemic started off with our state epidemiologist stating that corona only would spread to some hotspots and that it would not come to Sweden. The parliament were not showing that they were bothered with the new virus, instead they said that the situation is serious. They depended upon the public health authority Folkhälsomyndigheten to tackle the virus. For the authority, there were a few strategies that they considered, however at the end they decided to tackle the virus via a natural herd immunity strategy. They claimed that the virus would be beaten for the summer until they started to realise that it was not the case in which they denied that they used a natural herd immunity strategy. The strategy looked the same throughout and people were in reality never stripped of their freedom of movement on a larger scale. Closed borders would harm and a lockdown would cost too much. The parliament started to be in a disarray as government crises would become up to five in which two of them resulted in prime ministerial votings and in one of which could have led to a government led by Moderaterna instead of Socialdemokraterna. The book is about how Swedish political correctness justified the death of thousands of people. It can be used by political leaders to understand what you should not do in a similar situation such as the COVID-19 pandemic or it could be used to learn how to consciously kill a big part of a country whether or not it be a democracy or a dictatorship.

2.1 People related problems People related problems are not to intend that people constitutes problems. It is more so that either the politics affects the people in a bad way, that people behave in a certain way due to the politician´s statements or that the people reflect a bad trait that the state possesses. Since Socialdemokraterna has reigned for long periods, it has impacted the Swedish culture and also the other political parties.

In Sweden people have a lot of trust in their authorities which has led to people taking things literally such as thinking that if they are not in a company consisting of more than eight people then they are safe. Other people have also used the recommendations in their own egoistic manner; a person used the 2-meter rule to demand people to not stand to close to her and another demanded her students to sit two meters apart from each other while it was physically impossible because of the circumstances. The two of them planned to have a university student over to the school to have a lecture for three classes consisting of about 80 people in total in an assembly hall. The main figure in how the strategy for dealing with the pandemic has been, Anders Tegnell has constantly said that facial masks does not make any differences in the spread of infection and therefore it has not been a general recommendation. This has led to low usage of the facial masks. Before the recommendation about facial masks in public transport during rushing hours, only about five to ten percent used facial masks. After the recommendation the number went to about 20 to 30 percent in the subways, however the general usage was still low. The recommendation to use the facial masks in public transport during all hours did not make a difference in how many people used it. Most people who used facial masks in the subways took them off when they went out of the train station or the train. The result of Tegnell constantly downgrading the facial masks has been that people have been underusing it and encouraged people not to use it in normal conversations and there are also instances where the chauffeur of subway trains uses the communication device to say that facial masks are not working and that social distancing should be implemented. A health care manager was partying in April 2020 (Moreno 2020 S). One of the persons in a company that went out commented ““Tested and done”” and another one ““immune and secure”” when someone asked if they deified the rules of Folkhälsomyndigheten. Expressen contacted one of the persons and she said that the “Tested and done” statement was dumb and that they were actually not tested (Moreno 2020 H, translated quotes). People that are out partying and are in pubs thinks that it is okay to do so because they are not in a risk group (Forsberg 2020). There was more people in the centre of Stockholm in the middle of April 2020 than two weeks prior and a reason might be the weather (Forsberg 2020, referenced in Alestig 2020). When Sweden introduced the alcohol stoppage people made after parties while the bars closes down at 22:30 and opens up again shortly thereafter, but changes what they serve. Monkey bar would close down if they received economic compensation. They needed to do a midday party to mitigate the revenue loss (TT 2020 F). There have been rave parties in the whole country every week (Adelai & Grahn 2020).
