Sloths
A sloth is a slow animal that lives in Central and South America. They live in rainforests where it is warm and wet. Sloths live most of their lives sleeping in trees. They sleep for up to 10 hours a day. They only come down when they have to go to the toilet. Sloths have very long claws on their front feet. Some sloths have two claws and others have three. Sloths have long arms to help them climb. They move very slowly so that hungry animals do not see them move. Sloths eat leaves but sometimes they eat berries and insects too.
