Yussuf Afifi is a Swedish script writer, film director and producer. He is born in Kairo, Egypt. Yussuf Afifi has chosen to work independently without sponsors so that his thoughts about society shall not be controlled by others. Afifi feels that he has a great responsibility towards society and his audience and therefore he chooses to always carry out his work with a high moral standard where conscience is his starting point.

Scene 1. Interior. A restaurant kitchen. After dark. Jenny breaks a plate in the kitchen. She isn’t able to do her work well. Her boss is irritated with her. Boss How long do you intend to keep breaking my plates? Do you know how much a plate costs? Jenny How much? Boss 800. Alright, I want you to go home and think about whether or not you’re able to do your job properly. Jenny I’ll finish my shift first. Boss You don’t need to. Go home, and preferably don’t come back. Jenny is sad. She looks at the floor. Scene 2. Interior. Locker room. After dark. Jenny changes out of her uniform. She sits on a bench and thinks. She stares at the floor. She is sad. 9
Scene 3. Interior. In front of the restaurant. After dark. Jenny leaves the restaurant and walks out the street. She is sad. She walks with quick and agitated steps. Scene 4. Interior. Jenny’s apartment. After dark. The door opens onto a dark apartment. We see a beam of light enter the hallway as the door opens. Jenny rushes into the apartment. She is agitated. She turns on all of the lamps in the apartment and eventually ends up in the living room. Confused, she stands there for a moment, then sinks down onto the couch and buries her face in the pillows. She cries helplessly. After a while she picks up her cell phone and calls her mother. Jenny I couldn’t manage this time either. Mom (off) What’s going on? Jenny I got fired. Mom (off) You’re an unlucky girl. 10
