Welcome to Stepping Stone Femte upplagan! Birgitta Dalin, Jeremy Hanson

Hello, I’m Larisa from Moscow, but I live in Sweden now. I have a flat with two rooms. I have a small kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and a bedroom. It’s a very small flat, but I like it.

2

Hello, my name is Lotta. You remember me! I live in a flat with my husband and daughter. We live in Malmö. You can see a plan of our flat. We have a combined kitchen and living room. We have two bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. We also have a small balcony. It’s an expensive flat, but we like it. We can see the sea from the balcony.

3

Hello, I’m Clive. We have an old house with a big garden. Downstairs, we have a hall, a small toilet, a big kitchen, a living room and a study. The children do their homework there. Upstairs, we have three double bedrooms and a bathroom. My wife and I have one bedroom, the boys share a bedroom and so do the girls. We also have an attic full of old clothes, books and things.

4

5 Hi again! I’m Tania. I live in Gothenburg with my parents. We live in a terraced house. I like it. I have my own room. I do my homework and listen to music there. We have a kitchen, a living room and two bedrooms. We also have a very small garden. The house is not far from my school, so it’s only five minutes by bike. Fantastic! and a bedroom. It’s a very small flat but

Step up

My home Hi there! My name’s Peter Jones but you can call me Pete. All my friends call me that. I come from Wales so I’m Welsh but my wife, Danuta, is from Poland. She’s Polish. We live in Sweden now in a modern block of flats. It’s a nice flat but my wife and I both want to swap it for a big old British house in England or Wales. We have three kids, a boy who is twelve and two girls who are eight and six. If we can have a house somewhere in England or Wales, we want it to be with a garden, a big kitchen where we can cook together, three or four bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower as well as a separate toilet. Oh, the house must also be detached. We don’t want a semi or terraced house. The flat we have now has a combined kitchen and living room, a double bedroom and two singles, a bathroom and a balcony. So it’s a bit small for our family as the two girls have to share one of the single bedrooms. Our son wants to have a bigger room of his own where he can do his homework and have his friends.

My wife has a brother who lives in Denmark not far from Copenhagen where he has his job. He has a beautiful but expensive house. It is old but has a large living room, a hall, a kitchen and a separate toilet downstairs. Upstairs he has three bedrooms and a bathroom. The house also has an attic which is full of clothes. My kids all say they want to have a house like that. So do my wife and I, but it must be somewhere in Britain.
