Welcome to Stepping Stone Femte upplagan! My home Hi there! My name’s Peter Jones but you can call me Pete. All my friends call me that. I come from Wales so I’m Welsh but my wife, Danuta, is from Poland. She’s Polish. We live in Sweden now in a modern block of flats. It’s a nice flat but my wife and I both want to swap it for a big old British house in England or Wales. We have three kids, a boy who is twelve and two girls who are eight and six. If we can have a house somewhere in England or Wales, we want it to be with a garden, a big kitchen where we can cook together, three or four bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower as well as a separate toilet. Oh, the house must also be detached. We don’t want a semi or terraced house. The flat we have now has a combined kitchen and living room, a double bedroom and two singles, a bathroom and a balcony. So it’s a bit small for our family as the two girls have to share one of the single bedrooms. Our son wants to have a bigger room of his own where he can do his homework and have his friends.

My wife has a brother who lives in Denmark not far from Copenhagen where he has his job. He has a beautiful but expensive house. It is old but has a large living room, a hall, a kitchen and a separate toilet downstairs. Upstairs he has three bedrooms and a bathroom. The house also has an attic which is full of clothes. My kids all say they want to have a house like that. So do my wife and I, but it must be somewhere in Britain.
