The Present Tense – The Present Simple Tense The present simple tense tells us that something happens regularly or is a fact. It is often used with words like always, often, sometimes, every day, once a year. Examples: My mother drives a motorcycle. I sometimes eat an egg for breakfast. We visit our grandparents in Bosnia every summer. I, you, we, they work

After he, she, it (the third person singular) you add -s. He walks to school. She learns French. Our dog likes cats. It makes me happy to see you. If the verb ends in -s or an s-sound (ch, x, sh, z) you add -es: He watches TV. My brother always misses the bus to school. Examples of verbs that end in -s or an s-sound
