THIS IS ME – TIMES THREE When you meet someone for the first time you introduce yourself to that person. This usually means that you tell the other person your name and sometimes a little about yourself.

- How do you introduce yourself when you meet someone new? - What do you feel is important to know about the person you are meeting?

Sam My name is Sam. I am 19 years old and I live in London. I’m a student at King’s College London and at weekends I work in a clothes shop. When I’m not busy studying or working I like to play video games or watch TV. I live at home with my family because renting an apartment in London is very expensive. I help out at home when I can because my parents work long days and I have three younger siblings. I pick up my little brothers from school three times a week and also help with the cooking. In the future I hope to get a job in finance and eventually be able to buy my own place in the city. I would also like to find the man of my dreams and have a family.

Ana I’m Ana and I am 22 years old. I was born in Spain, but now I live in Stockholm. I work as a flight attendant, but one day I am going to become a pilot. I love to travel to different countries and meet new people. That is the best part of my job. In my spare time I like to go to the gym or play sports. I enjoy kick-boxing, but my favourite sport is skiing and every year I go on a skiing trip to the mountains in the north of Sweden. Apart from becoming a pilot I am planning to learn Mandarin; it’s the language of the future.

Kit Hi, I’m Kit and I’m from Quebec City. Quebec is in the Frenchspeaking part of Canada, so English is actually my second language. At the moment I am unemployed so I spend a lot of time looking for a job. My dream is to become a chef and perhaps open my own restaurant someday. I would also like to visit France and learn more about French cooking, and experience the city of Paris of course. I have one child, Chris, who is seven years old. We like to cook together and watch films together at the weekends.

If you got mostly A’s: You are definitely relaxed and some people might even call you lazy. You go with the flow and you are an easygoing person. Although you enjoy going out with friends, you also like staying in and taking it easy. If watching Netflix and eating takeaways was a profession – you would definitely qualify for the job. If you got mostly B’s: You are energetic and sporty and love to move. Lying in bed all day and taking it easy is not for you. You like physical activity and being outdoors or in the gym gives you energy. You prefer walking or riding your bike to driving a car or taking the bus. If you got mostly C’s: You are a social person who loves to spend time with friends and family. “The more the merrier” is your motto. Being with others gives you energy and you prefer company to staying at home by yourself. Thanks to your social skills you are an appreciated guest at parties. If you got mostly D’s: You are adventurous and curious and like to experience new things as well as challenge yourself mentally and physically. There are so many things to explore so why do the same thing twice? You are not afraid of pushing your limits and you need variety in your life in order not to get bored.
