A sunny holiday

CHAPTER

A few days later, the Clarks are in Barbados. They are in a beautiful apartment hotel by the sea. There are two bedrooms, a living room, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony. There is a dining table with six chairs, and there is a big sofa in front of a TV.

Mrs Clark is sunbathing and reading a guide book on Barbados. Lots of people are swimming in the sea. The water is warm – it’s about 27 degrees. Olivia is wearing a yellow bikini. Fraser and Elliot are wearing their new swimming shorts. It’s a perfect day for snorkelling. Fraser is swimming with his mask and snorkel. Elliot and Olivia are jumping in the waves. They are watching a pelican. The pelican is swimming in the sea looking for fish.

Mr Clark is sitting on the balcony. He’s relaxing and listening to music.

Romeo This book says there are no sharks here.

The sand and the palm trees make the beach look like a beautiful picture. There are lots of tourists. They are sitting on the beach under parasols. People are wearing hats and sunglasses. Two girls are playing beach volleyball. Some children are digging in the sand.

Juliet Phew, but I hope the sharks read the same guide book.
