I visitatori saranno coinvolti sul versante emotivo da una prolifica combinazione tra natura straordinaria, architettura senza tempo e arte contemporanea.

Questa edizione di SMACH mette al centro la parola “Heimat”: essa non è un semplice sostantivo. Come noto, si rivela intraducibile in molte lingue, fra le quali inglese e italiano. I tentativi di ricondurlo a concetti come “terra natìa” sono banalizzanti, se non fuorvianti.

“Heimat” possiede in sé una carica identitaria molto più forte. Heimat non individua semplicemente un luogo, bensì un insieme di valori condivisi e spontanei, che riconducono alla dimensione dell’infanzia, evocando la sensazione positiva che si scatena in noi quando pensiamo alle nostre origini, alla nostra identità o, al contrario, il senso di solitudine e impotenza che si manifesta quando percepiamo la perdita di tale legame.

ENG SMACH is a constellation of art, culture and history in the Dolomites. It is an open air exhibition that represents the combination of “art and nature”, where the latter acts as the display of the artistic creations, designed and tailored specifically to the various sites. It is an international art competition that celebrates its third edition this year. The artists involved have staged their works in 10 places of historical and cultural interest in the towns of San Martino in Badia and Marebbe. Their artworks have the aim of sparking people's interest for art and enhancing the area of the Dolomites in which they are immersed. Through a dialogue between art and nature, the artists want to promote thorough and ongoing consciousness of the historical, cultural and traditional aspects of the area. Visitors will be involved emotionally thanks to a prolific combination of

Adagiate in un bosco alpino, in un tratto intatto e appartato, si possono scorgere opere realizzate da artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Arte e contesto naturale instaurano tra loro un rapporto complementare arricchendosi vicendevolmente attraverso un dialogo continuo. I visitatori possono trascorrere alcune ore in serena tranquillità nel mezzo di una natura incontaminata.

La Val dl’Ert è concepita come work in progress: la collezione si arricchisce dopo ogni edizione del concorso SMACH e il luogo vuole essere come un conceptspace aperto a diverse realtà culturali. Possono essere identificati, quindi, gli elementi principali del parco: l’interazione delle opere d’arte con la natura e l’ambiente dove sono inserite e la rappresentazione di artisti internazionali.
