CONGREGATIONAL SINGING “How Great Thou Art” By: Stuart K. Hine Verse 1 O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy pow’r throughout the universe displayed! Verse 4 When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!

The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise.

And so, with our people on earth and all the company of heaven we praise your name and join their unending hymn:

INVITATION TO CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP PRAYER

Job 1:1; 2:1-10 Psalm 26

MINISTRY THROUGH TITHES AND OFFERINGS By: Rev. Dr. Ken Sloane Director of Stewardship & Generosity, Discipleship Ministries, The United Methodist Church God of Grace and Goodness: Your blessings in our lives have been so abundant, that when trials come, we become disoriented. Our needs have so often been met, that when we’re challenged in life, we wonder what’s wrong. Why isn’t the world perfectly aligned to meet our desires? This morning, we give our tithes and offerings with hope, that we might ground ourselves in gratitude, for the blessings that we so easily come to take for granted. We pray for eyes to see clearly, the bright mountains and the dark valleys, with grateful hearts for both. In Christ, we pray. Amen. (Job 1:1, 2;1-10)

BLESSING AND SENDING FORTH

(Verses 2 & 3 omitted.)

“Amen” By: Fernando G. Allen

Go in peace.

heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.

Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.

All honor and glory is yours, almighty Father (God), now and forever.

Amen.
