A study published in the Nutrition Journal found that green tea may be more effective at suppressing appetite than plain water. In addition, research shows that green tea gives your metabolism a slight lift. Just don't add sugar because it'll counteract that calorie-burning advantage. Enjoy a cup of hot or iced green tea with breakfast, lunch, and dinner to maximize your weight-loss efforts. Green Tea Pound Cake Recipe: 2 large eggs (or egg substitute) / 1 cup whole wheat flour/ ¼ tsp sea salt / ½ cup brown sugar / ½ cup reduced fat butter (or non-dairy) / 1 Tbsp matcha (green tea powder) 1½ tsp baking powder. Cream butter and add sugar. Mix well. Gradually add beaten eggs and stir well. Sift flour, baking powder, and green tea powder together and add the flour to the egg mixture. Pour into buttered loaf pan. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 30–40 minutes.
