2024 Mission College Prep Football
Welcome Royals Family,
It’s my pleasure to welcome you to our 2024 season of MCP Royals Football!
Catholic education’s calling is to educate the whole person, “heart, soul, mind, and strength.” It’s difficult to imagine a more perfect opportunity to live that call than to compete on a team at a Catholic, college preparatory high school. Lessons learned in the classroom and on the field encompass every facet of being a high school student-athlete, and are all a crucial part of our school-wide commitment to excellence.
Tonight, we hope the values of sportsmanship, hard work, teamwork, community, and faith will be on full display, both on the field and up in the stands. Indeed, these values and lessons are part of all that we do at MCP in support of our community. As our Mission statement concludes, everything that we do should be, “in service to deeper life with God and deeper life with one another.”
In this spirit, I ask that we also be good and gracious guests here at this special place—the flagship university of the CSU system. It is through the support and commitment of the leadership team at Cal Poly Athletics, as well as countless other supporters throughout our community, that we are enjoying this privilege tonight. We can say ‘thank you’ to Cal Poly in many ways, but please also thank them through your actions tonight.
This MCP community of ours has done truly amazing things. I’ve never been more energized or hopeful about a school year, and I hope you’re feeling the same way. We are blessed by your presence here this evening and I hope we all enjoy this game.

Good evening MCP community & high school football fans,
Welcome to Mission College Prep football 2024! This year’s team has put in a tremendous amount of work, and we’re excited to put it all on display this fall. There’s nothing better than Friday nights under the lights, and we’re grateful that you’ve chosen to spend tonight with us!
The heart of our team is our outstanding seniors, who are leading this team with character and class. We’re also thrilled with our excellent underclassmen who are demonstrating daily what it means to be good followers while growing into our future leaders.
I am extremely thankful for Cal Poly’s amazing partnership which enables MCP Football to compete here at Mustang Memorial Field at Spanos Stadium, our home away from home. Simply put, there is no better football venue on California’s Central Coast.
As you read in the verse gracing the top of this page, our team’s motto this season is “SEND ME!” Our coaching staff’s goal is to create a unified team who loves to work, embraces discipline, and understands how to glorify God. We will accomplish this all while becoming men who answer the call with a resounding, “SEND ME!”. We truly hope you enjoy tonight’s game & everything MCP has to offer.
