Starting in the fall, Shoreland will begin a new initiative to help increase the skill set of those with passions in the engineering and science fields with our new STEM Academy. This program will allow students to be engaged in project based work that will challenge them, while also receiving real-world encouragement from a host of community partners throughout Southeast Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

While many of the public schools offer a STEM program, Shoreland is the only private/parochial school in the extreme SE Wisconsin and extreme NE Illinois that has a STEM program.

Shoreland teachers are very dedicated to their call and to the students of Shoreland. Many of them use the summer months to further their education. Here are just a couple of examples...

In May, Kevin Zimmermann recieved a Masters of Science in Education with an emphasis in instruction.

Andrew Willems is taking classes to be STEM certified through the Project Lead the Way curriculum.

Holly Bahr is working on her synod certification this summer.

She also coached in the WBCA All Star Game in June in the Wisconsin Dells.

RenĂŠe Pappalardo took a MLC Immersion Trip to Cuba in June (to study Spanish and culture of Cuba) She is also leading a student trip to Nicaragua in July. In August, RenĂŠe is taking a Professional Development Course through WLC. Corey Schmidt is taking a AP/US History Course at Northwestern University.
