Jonathan Hill, owner, brings 20 years of construction experience as an owner’s representative, project manager, construction manager and general contractor. His project experience ranges from smaller renovations to 100+ Million-dollar hotels, nonprofit centers, retail, municipality projects and private commercial construction.

PRECONSTRUCTION
Protex Construction values every project and will work with you at your earliest stages to support thorough planning and budgeting to execute the project flawlessly. We view this as an integral part of the whole process that will help you understand and visualize your project, cost estimating to maximize every dollar and establish an accurate and transparent schedule so know when and what to expect at every corner through the end. We have a hands-on approach that will provide you with real-time information to make the right decisions for you, your project and your budget.
BUDGETING
As the General contractor we have relationships with designers and architects that can help you should you need, and our team will work closely with you to establish a design plan. Once a design has been completed, we will review all drawings to provide constructability and cost verifications. This process is to ensure that all plans and specifications are accurately depicted and are represented accurately for construction. Occasionally a door width or an attic access too small for practical purposes, or an HVAC/AC system is too large and not needed. Our team will review and establish a practical approach to estimating your project. Once drawing reviews are completed, we will begin pricing out all components to the project. Prices are based on market values and costs of materials and labor. Continual estimates are reviewed throughout the process, but the initial budget estimate will reflect as accurate estimate as possible. Any areas for cost savings will always be evaluated and considered. We work closely with owners to identify areas that can help the budget.
SCHEDULING
Protex Construction uses specialized scheduling techniques to overlay phasing, trades, and installs to present the best possible outcome for the timeline. We build in weather delays and other potential uncontrollable delays but aim to efficiently build your project with the least number of impacts to you and others impacted by this work. We aim to make this as easy a transition as possible and will continually update our clients with real-time information on installations, inspections and work. Any areas that benefit the schedule will be adjusted to capture more time back to you the owner and your day-to-day life.
SAFETY
Safety is a concern for all and during construction we make it a priority that the client is not impacted, and everyone is always safe. Often there will be multiple vendors and trades providing services that haven’t worked together. Our job is to coordinate and ensure everyone is operating at their best performance without risking the safety of themselves and others. We will quarantine the site so there are no accidents from by standards and will update the client often of activities to ensure everyone is informed and coordinated.

As a former owner’s representative, I managed the construction of many projects ranging from $10M to over $150M each. Quality is the mark of experience, not price. Our team is on site every day monitoring quality and managing all aspects of installations.
