Adapted Physical Activity: This is a dedicated time open to anyone and everyone with special needs to come out and try new activities, practice activities you’re already good at and meet new friends! There is no charge as this time has been sponsored by Slave Lake Petroleum Association
Social Stroller Roller: Come with your little one in the stroller or carrier, the fieldhouse will be all yours to walk and talk with other parents as you get your steps in.
Parent&Tot, Run & Play: There will be tunnels, balance boards, balls, mats and toys, for you and your little one to run out the zoomies. Ages 18 months-6 years of age. Parents must stay with child at all times.
Play Zone: The front half of the gym will be set up with toys and equipment for ages 2-7, the back half of the fieldhouse will have sports equipment for ages 8-12. Children 7 and under must be directly supervised at all times, children 8-11 must have a responsible adult 16+yrs available in the facility.
Multi-Sport: This is an open gym time for all ages. 2-3 sports can be occurring at the same time. This is first come, first serve. Options are: badminton, pickleball, volleyball, basketball & half gym soccer. No full gym soccer will be allowed during this time.
Family Multi-Sport: This is a dedicated time for families to come and play in the fieldhouse. Choose from badminton, pickleball, basketball and soccer. Children must be accompanied by an adult 18+ years to attend.
Ages: Children 7 and under must have a responsible person 16+yrs directly supervising them at all times.
Children between the ages of 8-11 must have a responsible person 16+yrs available in the facility.
Children 12+yrs can be in the arenas and fieldhouse on their own.

Walk your Way to Fitness: Join our instructor Donna Melvin for this weekly, one hour, mild to moderate workout consists of a warm up, cardio (power walking), cool down, resistance training, core/abdominal exercises, and concludes with stretches. We welcome everyone 18+ years and of all fitness levels to lace up your sneakers, wear your comfortable clothes, bring a mat and join us for some weekly fun!
Power Lunch Stability Ball Class: Come join Ula Naszynska-Spitzer certified athletic therapist for a fun ball class that is appropriate for beginners as well as advanced individuals. Learn how you can do a full body workout on your exercise ball and strengthen up your postural muscles while having fun. 16yrs+, must bring your own exercise ball.

Round Robin Pickleball: Are you interested in playing organized pickleball? High Intensity, Low Impact 30 - Join Cleo Carifelle or Chelsey Kinney for 30minutes every Tuesday for a quick lunch time work out. The LEAP program provides access to the Town of Slave Lake recreation facilities for families and individuals in financial need that are living in the Town of Slave Lake.
Eligible LEAP cardholders are entitiled to a 50% course fee discount (to a maximum of $40.00) for 4 courses/year. (some programs may not qualify for a discount, cannot be used in combination with KidSport and/or JumpStart funding). In addition, participants will be issued a Multi Facility pass for FREE admissions throughout the year.

“Financial Requirements
To be eligible for funding for one or more children, families must first meet specific financial criteria as per Revenue Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Offs (LICO) chart. Jumpstart uses the furthest column to the right of the chart for eligibility.
Children must fall between the ages of 4 - 18 years old. Funding is allocated to sustained programs that involve a sport or physical activity.
Programs should be a minimum of five weeks in duration and include at least one session per week. In the case of sports camps, the program must last at least five consecutive days for consideration.”

To improve the health of pregnant women and their infants facing conditions of risk and strengthen maternal capacity, skills and supports. Preparation for the arrival of your little bundle. Changes in body 6-9 months. Knowledge for breast or bottle feeding. Preparing for delivery and answering questions for first time moms and/or partners.
Learn how to give your baby a massage. There are 5 weekly classes. Each class covers a new body part and review of the previous body parts. There are additional protocols covered for permission of touch, relief of colic/gas, and discussion times throughout the sessions. Each class is approximately 1 hour -90 minutes. We follow the International Association of Infant Massage. Mission Statement: is to promote nurturing touch and communication through training, education, and research so that parents, caregivers and children are loved, valued and respected throughout the world community.
Individual and group sessions available. Contact CRC if you are needing some parent guidance. The Positive Parenting approach is a way to decrease parenting stress, frustration and yelling, or any other issues you may be finding as a parent of a child or teen. This is done in 4-2 hour sessions in group or individually when staff can accommodate the needs.
Let’s learn about Feelings, kids and parents learn how to label emotions and how to deal with hard to have emotions.
