REMOTE WORKING HOW HAS IT BEEN?

Axis Studios was about three weeks ahead of the Scottish government in terms of planning for COVID. We had remote working done and dusted before the lockdown was announced. The health and wellbeing of our staff and their families is of the utmost importance to us, so we took action to put in place a business continuity plan that would both protect our staff and keep the studio working.

Our plan consisted of having our artists working from home with the equipment they needed to work and contribute as if they were in the office working. With disruption to every aspect of life, it was important for Axis to operate as much of a “business as usual” approach to minimise disruption but also for the benefit of our teams. COVID-19 hasn’t impacted the animation sector as it has some other industries, and we are just as busy. In 2020 we completed 22 working from home projects including Playstation’s “Sackboy: A Big Adventure” and “The Tall Grass” from Netflix’s Love, Death and Robot’s.
