In this workbook, we have collected all of the season’s new items from L.Brador. Most are brand new, although you may recognise a couple as enhancements of earlier classics. Many of the garments also play a key role in the multi-layer principle, while one thing they all have in common is that they will make your workday simpler, more flexible and more enjoyable.

Our clothes are designed for work, and for active movement. Here are a few of our favourites for the season.

THE RIGHT CLOTHING. EVERY DAY. A workday is not entirely different from a training session. Apart from that it lasts eight hours, and can shift just as quickly between temperatures and wind speeds as in intensity. That’s why it is just as important to have the right clothing for your workday as for any other training session. Many of the year’s new items have a defined place in the multi-layer principle, and together they will ensure that you are properly clothed for any job, in terms of both function and style.

THE PERFECT GARMENT IS ONE YOU MAKE YOURSELF. Everyone is unique, moves differently and responds to temperature differently. That means that we need different clothes. Or at least, that we need to combine them in a way that works just for us, and will suit whatever workday we have in front of us.

If you tend to feel the cold, you need warm base and mid layers, while if you tend to feel warmer then you should choose

cooler alternatives. That’s all there is to it. The advantage with the multi-layer principle is that you can adjust your clothing to find the combination that’s just right for you.

Regardless of which garments you choose, you can combine your layers to suit any workday or time of year. That also means that every garment will last longer.

Here, we present a combination of layers suitable for colder weather conditions.

The layer nearest the body is the most important of the three layers. It should not chafe, it must not itch. It should be pleasant to wear and give you the heat you need. It also has an important role to play in transporting moisture away from the body. A good base underwear in wool or another functional material is therefore a good start.

The mid layer is there to insulate and to help maintain heat – and to ensure a pleasant, even temperature. At the same time, it transports heat and moisture out to the next layer. This layer may be made from wool or polyester, with wool being the ideal choice for an even, suitable temperature.

The outer layer protects against rain, wind and cold, and should also allow the moisture and any surplus heat from the other two layers to dissipate. No matter how much it rains or how hard the wind is blowing, it’s likely your body temperature will rise when you work, which is why a breathable outer layer is preferable.

MOBILITY.

For us, mobility is A to Z, and is always a prime consideration in everything we do. One sign of this is that we were the first in the industry to incorporate stretch into our work trousers. But it goes right down to making sure that the arms on your jacket have the right length to suit the body’s and the workday’s patterns of movement.

METICULOUS DETAILS.

Our clothes are work clothes, with emphasis on work.

Quite simply, we always first consider who is going to wear the garments, and how their normal day looks. At the same time, we want the clothes to be as comfortable as possible, which is why we refuse to compromise on the details. This eye for detail has resulted in, among other things, magnet-close pockets, hoods with room for hearing protectors and clothing with specially designed zip placements, pockets for everything you need and loops for frequently-used tools.

QUALITY AND DURABILITY.

We want everything we do to keep the highest quality, and our clothes and equipment are made to last. Our natural mindset is that durability and quality are a given. We also put the utmost care into our choices of materials, suppliers and producers.

The material is completely natural, and has numerous exceptional characteristics. Above all, it maintains an even and comfortable temperature, it is breathable and it does not easily absorb odours.

• Adapted to working practices in Sweden and Northern Europe.

• The belt is upholstered and is held in place by a powerful metal clasp. This allows for both quick locking and adjustments.

• Fabric pockets designed for both screws and nails. These are designed to provide easy access to the material contained within.
