Wedding trends we predict for 2022
Large wedding parties were the norm when Jenna Knoll and Hugh Cullman married in 2017. Big-budget, extravagant weddingss – as reserved and minimalistic as 2020 was, 2022 will swing back in the direction of lavish, large-scale weddings.
Wedding season is year-round in Steamboat Springs. Winter weddings are growing in popularity. Katie Ball and Shanon Mobley married in January before a gathering of family and friends at La Joya Dulce. • Delayed receptions – The elopements and micro weddings of 2020 will be followed by large receptions, reuniting loved ones and making up for lost time.
Larger winter weddings – While s winter is usually reserved for smaller weddings, look for a change to this trend.

Four-tiered wedding cakes are making a comeback.

An extravagant floral arrangement is the focal point when displayed with classic white linens and silver accent settings. • Continued emphasis on sanitization and hygiene – These elements were pushed to the forefront of our minds in 2020, and we don’t see that changing anytime soon.

• Going digital – COVID bolstered the techsavviness of even the most technologically challenged among us (we all have grandparents or older relatives who learned how to use Zoom) and invitations are no exception. Be on the lookout for digital invitations to replace the traditionally mailed paper versions.
Sweet tooths, rejoice – Along with the return of big weddings comes the return of big, s tiered wedding cakes.
Glamorous décors – Everything from table settings to porta-potties and hand-sanitizing stations will be given the royal treatment.
Extravagant flower arrangements will make great centerpieces, with large bouquets and hanging arrangements providing a lush, organic setting.
