Welcome to Steamboat Springs

Welcome to Steamboat Springs!

We’re thrilled you’ve chosen or are considering a visit to the beautiful Yampa Valley. Steamboat is different from other ski destinations in that our history dates to the late 1800s, when settlers first came here as trappers. The healing hot mineral springs, open valley and river kept those explorers here and continue to be why residents and visitors alike love Steamboat Springs today.

With an average annual snowfall of 314 inches per year, Steamboat enjoys some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the West. We pride ourselves not just on the beauty of the area, but the genuine friendliness and Western hospitality that make this a special place. You can fly nonstop into the Yampa Valley Regional Airport, just 20 miles from town, from 16 airports nationwide served by six major airlines. Choose from a variety of accommodations, including hotel and motel lodging, condominiums or luxury private homes. You can even have a real Steamboat experience at one of our guest ranches just outside of town.

The first section of the new Wild Blue Gondola will make its debut this ski season at the Steamboat Ski Resort. A second gondola at the base means more time skiing. With 170 trails on 2,965 acres, you’ll enjoy the variety of terrain that makes the Steamboat Ski Resort so popular.

While Steamboat might be best known for its epic Champagne Powder®, there is as much to experience off skis as there is on skis. Take a guided snowmobile tour of the backcountry. Enjoy a sleigh ride dinner in a true winter wonderland. Lift off over the snowy Yampa Valley in a hot air balloon. Try your hand at dog sledding. And when you’re done with these and many other activities, relax in one of our famous hot springs.

We invite you to taste all Steamboat has to offer, including restaurants that offer locally sourced ingredients, local breweries and distilleries. You’ll be sure to find the perfect keepsake or gift in the unique shops throughout town. Explore local art galleries and museums, or take in local music to experience all that Steamboat has to offer.

We ask that you help protect our natural assets by visiting responsibly. Know before you go, leave no trace, give wildlife space, be kind, give back and have an unforgettable visit.

The Steamboat Chamber warmly thanks you for treasuring our valley as much as we do.

Sunshine Express chairlift at the Steamboat Ski Area provides access to green, blue and black runs.

Be Altitude Aware:

The City of Steamboat Springs sits almost 7,000 feet above sea level. Mount Werner, Buffalo Pass and Rabbit Ears Pass all reach heights of around 10,000 feet. Be mindful of altitude’s effects –not only altitude sickness and shortness of breath, but also increased chances of sunburn and dehydration – and plan accordingly.

FLOATS THE BOAT Kindness

On the Slopes of Mount Werner

Storm Mountain Ski Area began operating its brand new, 400-foot-long, two-seater Christie chairlift at 9:30 a.m. on January 12, 1963, few could have imagined that 60 years later locals and visitors alike would still be making fresh tracks on the same mountain. Nowadays, these tracks are made at a much larger ski area:

Ski Resort.

on Mount Werner in Routt National Forest’s Park Range, Steamboat boasts an average of 314” of fresh powder per year, over 3,600 feet of vert and 17 lifts. It’s been home to Olympic legends like Bud Werner – the mountain’s namesake – his sister, Skeeter, and Billy Kidd, who remains Steamboat’s director of skiing after 53 years. It has produced Olympians of today like Decker Dean, Jaelin Kauf, Mick Dierdorff and Olivia Giaccio – all of whom competed in the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing.

Steamboat’s terrain isn’t just for the experts – it’s suitable for skiers and riders of all ages and skill levels. Out of its 170 named trails, 14% are rated for beginners and 42% are rated for intermediate thrill-seekers. Beginning mid-December and going through March, night skiing takes place on five trails: Sitz, See Me, Vogue, Stampede and Lil’ Rodeo. The lower leg of the new Wild Blue Gondola and the adjacent Greenhorn Ranch beginner area are set to be completed this season, so those just getting their tips up will have plenty of skiing to choose from.

But for those who do want to test their mettle, most runs off Pony Express will provide a full-body workout. Royal Flush, in particular, will have you sending it to the fullest. If hucking rocks and dodging trees is more your thing, take a quick hike to the summit off Morningside Lift and drop into No Names, but be prepared for a flat run back towards the center of the resort via First Chance or Last Chance. Don’t forget about the mountain’s three terrain parks, Lil’ Rodeo, Rabbit Ears and Mavericks, the last of wich is home to a 15-foot-tall, 675-foot-long superpipe.

No matter which part of the mountain you decide to ski, one thing is for sure: the magic, beauty and possibility imagined by the founders of Storm Mountain over half a century ago can still be found on every groomer, in every powder stash, on every gondola ride and at every après that makes Steamboat Ski Resort what it is today.

What’s New at the Steamboat Ski Area?

For 60 snow-filled years, the Steamboat Ski Area has been at the heart of the Steamboat Springs community. What better time to set the foundation for 60 more? Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp.’s owner, Alterra Mountain Company, is investing nearly $200 million into many improvements both on-mountain and at the base area, all implemented in the next two ski seasons and dubbed “Full Steam Ahead.”

Full Steam Ahead additions at the Steamboat Base Area include an après ski plaza, restaurants and bars, lodging, a ski beach, an ice rink and a top-to-bottom gondola.

• The lower leg of the Wild Blue Gondola (which will be the longest gondola in North America and the fastest 10-person gondola in the country) is open this ski season, with the upper leg slated to be open during ski season 2023-24.

• Skeeter’s Ice Rink opens this ski season in Gondola Square, offering on-ice fun for the whole family.

• The Range Food & Drink Hall also opens this ski season, with a variety of eateries offering a quick, delicious meal to famished skiers. Dining options include ramen, pizza, tacos and desserts.

The Bird twins, Dash and Brynn, ski fresh groomers on Bashor at the Steamboat Ski Area.

Full Steam Ahead improvements on the slopes include added terrain, a dedicated learning center and enhanced snowmaking.

• Novice skiers will have a much easier time getting their ski legs under them this winter. A beginner area called Greenhorn Ranch is now accessible off the lower leg of the Wild Blue Gondola, featuring gentle slopes, progressive terrain-based learning and a dedicated chairlift.

• An additional 650 acres of intermediate skiing in the Pioneer Ridge area is still in the works, and will be opened during ski season 2023-24. The addition of this terrain will make the Steamboat Ski Area the second largest ski resort in Colorado.

• Alongside these additions, Steamboat will be bolstering snowmaking capabilities, ensuring that Greenhorn Ranch and other lower-mountain areas are open early in the season.

With all of these exciting additions being made as we celebrate 60 years at the Steamboat Ski Area, who knows what the next 60 years could have in store?

Enhanced snowmaking enables early season coverage from top to bottom.

Howelsen How-To

While the Steamboat Ski Area is known for its fantastic terrain and fluffy, light powder, Howelsen Hill Ski Area is where Routt County’s skiing culture began in 1914. Owned and operated by the City of Steamboat Springs, it remains the West’s oldest continuously operating ski area and boasts the largest and most complete natural ski jumping complex in North America. Howelsen has everything you need for a fun day on the slopes, including The Outrun snack bar, equipment locker rentals, a beacon training park and a Nordic center. Make sure you stop by for Free Ski Sunday, where skiing is free for all visitors, all day, and check out the Barrows triple chairlift, added last ski season.

If skiing isn’t your thing, take a short walk southeast down the Yampa Valley Core Trail to the Howelsen Ice Complex. Home to the Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association, Steamboat Springs Sailors High School Hockey Team, and the Steamboat Springs Figure Skating Club, the ice complex utilizes an Olympic-sized ice rink to host everything from birthday parties to Stick and Puck hockey to public skating to freestyle figure skating to curling and even bumper cars.

However you decide to spend your day at Howelsen, you’re sure to find activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Night Skiing Tips

When the lights come up on the mountain, and the moon shines over the snow, do I wanna be there on the ski slope? (Apologies to Journey)

Of course you do.

When the lights sparkle against Steamboat’s skyline, skiers and riders are inevitably lured to the mountain. Even after a full day

of skiing, kids turn to their parents and say, “Can we go back?”

The answer is a resounding yes.

Steamboat offers night skiing Thursdays-Sundays, 5:30-8:30 p.m., from Dec. 15 through March 26, with additional evenings available during the Christmas holidays. (No night skiing on Christmas Eve or Super Bowl Sunday.)

icy winters don’t slow down the town’s bustling activity – or limit it to the ski slopes. There’s fun in the snow for everyone, and you don’t need skis or a snowboard to join in.

Steamboat’s

For thrill-seekers off the ski mountain, nothing’s more exciting than snowmobiling. If you’re heavy on the throttle, you can let loose in the open meadows of Rabbit Ears Pass, the Flat Tops or North Routt County, with Steamboat Snowmobile Tours, High Mountain Snowmobile Tours or Thunderstruck Adventures. If you’re looking for stunning views of the Rocky Mountains, sleds will zip you up to breathtaking lookouts facing the Zirkels, the Continental Divide and Sleeping Giant. Lucky 8 Ranch in South Routt leads a bison snowmobile tour celebrating our national mammal.

Less adrenaline-filled, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing still lead to astonishing views. The Steamboat Ski Area offers guided snowshoe tours of the iconic Mount Werner. For environmentalists looking to combine winter views with a lesson on keeping them wintery, Yampatika leads hikes and cross-country skiing while educating adventurers on protecting Mother Nature.

If skate-skiing is your forte, or you’re looking for a workout, Haymaker Nordic Center, Lake Catamount Touring Center, Steamboat Ski Touring Center and Howelsen Hill offer groomed trails for all levels, from first-timers to Olympic hopefuls. During the early season, Bruce’s Trail

on Rabbit Ears Pass is groomed before anywhere else, becoming a winter wonderland for cross-country skiers and snowshoers as early as October.

Snow-tubing is a great option for families looking for a thrill. At Vista Verde Guest Ranch, snowmobiles will pull you up the hill, and at Saddleback Ranch, a tube-tow lift system will take you to the top. It’s all the fun of the tobogganing you enjoyed as a kid, without any huffing and puffing on your way back up the hill. You’re never too old to fly down a groomed sledding track, laughing all the way.

Missing the activities of the warmer months? Fishing and biking are year-round in Steamboat. Fly fishing continues downtown on the icy Yampa River, where anglers find fewer crowds and more fish in winter. Fly fishing away from town is best in the Yampa tailwaters below Stagecoach Reservoir. You can make the 1.5-mile trek on foot, bike, skis, or snowmobile – the trip will only make the catch more worthwhile.

Biking in Steamboat is no longer seasonal. With fat-tire bikes, you can cruise on the Yampa River Core Trail or Emerald Mountain just as you would in July – just with more layers. Fat-tire bikers have access to most nordic, snowshoe and snowmobile trails, so the terrain has something for everyone.

Playing in the snow doesn’t require a lift ticket. If carving up groomers or ripping through powder isn’t your thing, you’re sure to find other ways to enjoy the Yampa Valley’s snowscape.

Play Indoors

Sometimes you just want to come in from the snow.

Fortunately, while Steamboat Springs is famous for its outdoor fun, options abound for indoor play as well.

Active pursuits like drop-in hockey at Howelsen Ice Arena or a fast-paced game of pickleball at the City of Steamboat Springs Tennis and Pickleball Complex will not only keep you fit but will also warm you up on the coldest winter day. The Climbing Collective prides itself in its all-ages indoor experience, with programs for kids ages 2 ½ and up.

Multi-generational families, honeymooners and college kids make their way to Snow Bowl, where food, cocktails and bowling share the stage with occasional live music, arcade games and sports-centric television.

By hook or by crook, Crooked Key Escape Rooms is where families come together to escape the weather and/or share the challenge of finding clues and solving puzzles. Put on your cowboy hat, pin on your badge and come to the rescue at the ol’ watering hole in Crooked Key’s newest game, “Trouble at the Old West Saloon.” It’s one of three options at the escape room this winter.

You don’t need a driver’s license to take control of a bumper car at Howelsen Hill Ice Arena. All you need is to be at least 5 years old. Just when you get the hang of the joystick, you’re likely to find yourself spinning across the ice, bumped aside by one of your own family members. When the overhead lights go out and the colored spots come on, the stage is set for mayhem. For double the fun, sign up for public skating while you’re here.

You’re likely to emerge from whichever indoor playland you choose to find yourself renewed and ready for the winter wonderland that is Steamboat Springs.

Keep Wildlife Wild Moose and foxes and bears, oh my! The Yampa Valley is home to various mammals, birds and fish, and spotting them downtown or while hiking can be a memorable Steamboat experience. But always remember: the wildlife of Routt County is here yearround. For their safety and yours, keep your distance from animals and refrain from feeding them.

Moose can often be spotted throughout Steamboat Springs and while they are awesome to see, they are ferocious when they charge.

Finding Your Bliss in Dreamboat

While Steamboat Springs is renowned for its skiing, a visit to the Yampa Valley will also have you returning home rested and recharged. There’s a relaxing activity for everyone, from soaking in soothing hot springs to partaking in literature, art, history, shopping and dining.

Relaxation in Steamboat is incomplete without a visit to its historic mineral springs, enjoyed by Yampa Valley residents dating as far back as the Ute Indians. At the Old Town Hot Springs downtown, soak ski-weary legs in the hot pools, scale the outdoor climbing wall or enjoy the water slide. If you’re looking for even greater relaxation, indulge in their saunas and massages.

Take a shuttle north to find the picturesque Strawberry Park Hot Springs: stone pools surrounded by ice-covered aspens and snow-capped firs. The springs require reservations, so book a spot online before sinking into the 104-degree waters.

If you’re looking to escape the frigid outdoors, warm up at Off the Beaten Path Bookstore with a novel and one of their lattes, or curled up in a reading nook at Bud Werner Memorial Library.

For those wanting to dive into Steamboat Springs’ deep Western and Olympic history, look no further than the Tread of Pioneers Museum. Check out the Olympian Tribute Display to understand how Steamboat has produced more winter Olympians than any other U.S. town, or walk through The Pleasant Collection of American Indian Art to learn about the people who first called the Yampa Valley home.

A Victorian house replica and the Pioneer Kids Bedroom Hands-On Discovery Exhibit offer educational engagement kids will love.

Visitors of the creative type can explore Steamboat’s vibrant art scene. Downtown art galleries display beautiful works celebrating this town’s Western heritage and the natural beauty of Steamboat Springs. The First Friday ArtWalk, held the first Friday of each month, presents an opportunity for a first look at new collections while enjoying mouthwatering food and wine.

Steamboat Art Museum is hosting its most notable exhibition to date this winter, when it brings together the works of 30 of the nation’s top contemporary Western artists, from T.C. Cannon to Fritz Scholder.

Steamboat Springs boasts 130 restaurants, guaranteeing everyone finds something to fill them up, whether it’s mountainside or in the heart of downtown. Dinner options range from fine dining for a date night to a family outing. Kids can draw on the tablecloth at Mambo or shape pizza dough at Mazzola’s. Brunch is the best way to start the day, from the famous cinnamon rolls at Winona’s to Johnny B. Good’s authentic 1950s-style diner. For a final cheers to a fantastic vacation, check out Steamboat’s breweries for unique on-tap beers.

With Steamboat’s countless high-energy activities, it can be hard to catch a break, especially when trying to cram everything the town offers into a week-long vacation. Play hard, but make time to relax harder, and return home fully recharged.

Après, the Steamboat Way

If you’re looking for a fun night out on the town after a long day on the slopes, Steamboat has no shortage of spots for you to get your après on. Why not start about a block south of the base of the mountain at the new Storm Peak Brewing Co. Bus Stop location? Enjoy one of their many local favorites, like the Money Trees IPA, Bodysuit Man Pilsner or Hoochie Mama Guava Kettle Sour brewed right here in Steamboat. Feel like kicking your ski boots off and heading into town? Just off the corner of Ninth and Yampa sits Mountain Tap Brewery. This brewpub is known for its 12 circulating craft beers, huge-wood fired oven for its signature Neapolitan-style pizza and heated gondola cars on the outdoor patio for those chilly winter nights.

Keep in mind that après isn’t limited to food and drink. Don’t forget about Steamboat’s three premier cannabis dispensaries: Tumbleweed, Golden Leaf and Billo.

Greensky Bluegrass performs at WinterWonderGrass 2020 in Steamboat Springs. They return to headline the 10th Anniversary Festival in 2023.

Music in the Mountains

Live music pervades the mountain town of Steamboat Springs. Winter is punctuated by concerts, including MusicFest, which combines a week of skiing and Americana/Texas music in 200 hours of live performances at venues throughout Steamboat. The lineup for 2023 includes 80+ performers, ranging from American Aquarium to Vanilla Ice. Tickets to the full event sell out months before the first notes sound, but the event producers present performances at local bars and on the mountain from Saturday, Jan. 7-Thursday, Jan. 12.

Strings Music Pavilion, famous as the venue for Strings Music Festival in summer, hosts a variety of nationally renowned performers throughout the winter. Stylings range from classic rock to contemporary stars.

The pavilion is also the setting for the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra’s annual Holiday Concert, Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 3-4. Professional musicians from throughout the West, who present a memorable symphonic experience in the first half of this event, are joined by local students after intermission. Together, they

perform traditional holiday pieces in a program that has come to represent the start of the holidays for many local families.

The winter concert schedule hits full stride in early March, when WinterWonderGrass transforms the Knoll Parking Lot into an entire community, with four stages, bars, shops, food trucks and above all, a nonstop lineup of the nation’s most famous blue/newgrass stars. Greensky Bluegrass , Leftover Salmon, Paul Cauthen and the Infamous Stringdusters are set to headline the the event’s 10th anniversary show.

The same passion for sound that drives crowds to WinterWonderGrass also fuels support for Buffalo Commons. What started as a local club band has emerged onto the national scene with the release of its debut album, “Patterns,” last fall.

Music moves to the mountain in spring, when the Bud Light Free Concert Series makes its debut on the new stage in Gondola Square. Six weekends of sound are planned to close out the 2023 ski season.

In addition to festivals and outdoor concerts, live music is scheduled regularly at local venues like Schmiggity’s in downtown Steamboat. Snow Bowl may seem like an unlikely setting for a concert, but the popularity of its summer music series may have inspired it to continue its concert schedule this winter.

From Beethoven to bluegrass, the Steamboat music scene sets the tone for ski season.

Cross-Country Ski & Snowshoe Routes

■ 1A West Summit Loop A

Access: Travel east of Steamboat Springs on U.S. 40 approximately 13 miles to the West Summit parking area on Rabbit Ears Pass.

3.7 miles (loop from trailhead)

Route description: Begin on the north side of the road. Skiing the route in a clockwise direction is less difficult, with gentler climbs and steeper descents through open and wooded areas. Views of the Yampa Valley and the Flat Tops are spectacular. The West Summit loops and surrounding terrain are the most popular skiing areas in the Hahn’s Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District.

1B West Summit Loop B 3.6 miles/5.4 miles (loop from trailhead)

Access: This route is reached by skiing counter-clockwise on 1A. Ski past the first junction with 1B and climb to the top of the ridge. At the second junction, on the ridgetop, ski 1B to the east. This route is best skied in a clockwise direction.

Route description: This route has several steep ascents and descents through heavy timber and open meadows.

◆ 1C South Summit Loop 3 miles

Access: This route begins at the West Summit parking area. Park on the south side of the highway.

Route description: Travel counter-clockwise for the best downhill runs. The route begins by following an old road. Woods, open meadows and some steep descents are encountered. This route connects with route 3B midway around the loop. Past this junction, the route follows the telephone lines and old highway, paralleling U.S. 40. The final portion follows the meadow edge back to the West Summit, then retraces the first segment of old road.

■ 1D Bruce’s Trail 3.1 miles

Access: Travel east of Steamboat Springs on U.S. 40 approximately 14 miles to the parking area on the north side of the highway. A short spur connects the parking lot to the main trail.

Route description: Designed wide to accommodate both skating and traditional skiing techniques. The trail is machine-groomed in the early ski season. Note that dogs are not permitted when the trail is groomed. The upper loop provides easy skiing, while the lower loop has a moderate difficulty rating. The tight loop design and proximity to the highway make this trail a good choice for a ski workout, a short day, or for skiers wishing to remain relatively close to their vehicles.

◆◆ 2A Hogan Park Route

13 miles round trip

Access: Travel east of Steamboat Springs on U.S. 40 approximately 18 miles to the Walton Creek parking area. One way, 6.5 miles to the bottom of Morningside Lift.

Route description: This route is recommended for experts only. If you plan to descend Mount Werner through the Steamboat Ski Area, safety straps are required. Begin on the north side of the highway just west of the large cut bank. The route crosses large open meadows and many streams. Steep ascents and descents will be encountered. During heavy snowfall or whiteout conditions, the route is very difficult to follow across the large meadows. Carry emergency/survival gear. If Morningside Lift is not operating, climb 1 mile to top of lift, then descend 3 miles to ski area base.

■ 2B Fox Curve Loop 3.6 miles

Access: Travel approximately 17 miles east of Steamboat Springs on U.S. 40 to the Fox Curve parking area. The parking area is on the north side of highway.

Route description: This route has varied terrain including steep ascents and descents. Use caution when crossing Walton Creek.

◆ 3A Walton Creek Loop 1.9 miles

Access: Travel east of Steamboat Springs on U.S. 40 approximately 18 miles to the Walton Creek parking area on Rabbit Ears Pass. The parking area is on the south side of the highway.

Route description: Begin at the knoll south of the parking lot and follow the powerline a short distance to the west. Turn south across Walton Creek and through former Walton Creek Campground. The junction of route 3B is reached in the meadow south of the campground. Past this junction, the route makes a steep ascent over a ridge and down an open slope to Walton Creek and the junction of route 3C. Follow Walton Creek back to the parking area.

◆◆ 3B Par-A-Lell Route

3B route is 2.3 miles (or 4.2 miles for combined one-way from 1A to 3A)

Access: This route can be accessed from route 1C, beginning at the West Summit parking area on the south side of the highway, or from route 3A, beginning at the Walton Creek parking area.

Route description: This route connects routes 1C and 3A. Skiing it west to east provides more exciting downhill runs; skiing east to west involves more climbing, though much of it is gentle. Starting at the junction of 1C and 3B (west end), the route goes up a gentle slope and drops into a stream valley. Use caution when crossing streams and beaver ponds on this route as they may be only partially frozen. Heavy timber and open meadows.

3C North Walton Peak Route

Access: Travel east of Steamboat Springs on U.S. 40 approximately 18 miles to the Walton Creek parking area.

3.25 miles (one-way)/6.5 miles (loop from trailhead)

Route description: This is the most popular route for telemarking. Begin at the knoll to the south of the parking area and head southeast and downhill through the trees following route 3A. Approximately 1/2 mile from the parking

Backcountry Information

Cross-Country Ski General Information

1. Park only in designated areas. These are identified by large trailhead parking signs.

2. Skiing is recommended in areas north and south of U.S. 40 from the West Summit east to Walton Creek.

3. Ski routes are marked with blue diamonds on trees. Bamboo poles are used to mark the trail route through open areas when snow depth permits. After heavy snowfalls, the posts and poles may be covered with snow and not visible.

4. Routes are not groomed and have sections of steep ascent and descent. Skiers should have the skills to handle varied terrain and snow conditions before attempting these routes. The exception is Bruce’s Trail, which is occasionally groomed in early ski season.

5. Dogs’ feet may damage ski tracks. Dog droppings should be removed from the trail. Dogs are not allowed on Bruce’s Trail in the early season when it is groomed.

Snowshoe General Information

Snowshoers are welcome to use the marked cross-country ski routes on Rabbit Ears Pass, but they should travel parallel to the ski tracks, not on them. Snowshoes damage ski tracks. Recommended routes for snowshoeing are Walton Peak Loop and Bruce’s Trail. Smaller loops for snowshoers may be available. Contact the USFS for details: 970-879-2299.

Snowmobile General Information

1. Park only in designated areas. These are identified by large trailhead parking signs.

2. Snowmobile use areas are north and south of U.S. 40, from Walton Creek to Muddy Pass. Please respect non-motorized areas.

3. Snowmobile trails are maintained by volunteers from Routt Powder Riders.

4. Snowmobile routes are marked with orange diamonds on trees. Poles are used to mark the trail routes through open areas.

5. Snowmobiles are required to be registered annually with Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Non-Motorized Areas

Two areas, the west side of Rabbit Ears Pass on U.S. 40 and an area by the Dry Lake Campground on the Buffalo Pass Road, are managed for non-motorized recreation. These areas are marked on trailhead maps and on the ground. These areas are closed to motorized users. Violations are punishable. There is a suggested non-motorized area on the northwest side of Hahns Peak (see map at 550 Trailhead. The 550 trailhead is west of the map in the Visitors’ Guide).

Wilderness

The Mount Zirkel Wilderness and the Sarvis Creek Wilderness are closed to snowmobiles. Violations are punishable.
