What is a Deep Groove Ball Bearing and What are Its Benefits? Ball bearings are a kind of rolling bearing that has a ball-rolling element. They are used in high-speed applications with light loads, where their main job is to reduce friction and noise and minimise severe wear and tear. Some ball bearings can handle axial loads (loads that run parallel to the shaft) but they are usually restricted to low carrying capacity.

What are Deep Groove Ball Bearings? Deep groove ball bearings are the same as traditional bearings. The only difference is that deep groove bearings have a raceway that fits properly with the dimension of the ball running in them. Deep groove ball bearing are more stable and can carry heavier loads than shallow groove bearings. Despite carrying heavier loads, these bearings facilitate low fiction. The deep grooves bearings also help in reducing vibration and noise, while providing some axial load capacity.
