Rental Terms and Conditions:
The stay excludes final cleaning and linens (unless purchased) as well as electricity consumption. Electricity is settled upon departure.
In seasons B, C, and D, if the holiday home is not rented to another party, it will be possible to purchase early check-in at 12:00 PM or late check-out at 1:00 PM.
The holiday center's activities can generally be used from 10:00 AM on the day of arrival until 5:00 PM on the day of departure. The holiday center’s activities are closed on December 24th, and there will be reduced opening hours during Christmas and New Year’s.
Arrival: Arrival at the holiday home must take place on the first day of the rental period between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Any alternative arrival time must be arranged in advance. The location of the holiday home will be provided upon arrival. If a specific house is desired, it will be noted as a request, and we will do our best to accommodate it, but there is no guarantee.
Payment Terms: 30% of the rental amount must be paid no later than 10 days after receiving the confirmation. The remaining amount is due no later than 30 days before arrival. If the booking is made less than 30 days before the start of the rental period, the total amount must be paid immediately. If the rental amount is not paid by the specified deadline, Skærbækcenteret reserves the right to cancel the rental without refunding any previously paid amounts. However, due amounts remain payable in accordance with the above cancellation terms.
Force Majeure: If the rental is prevented due to force majeure, such as natural disasters, strikes, acts of war, riots, or similar, the holiday center is not liable for interrupted or uncompleted stays.
Pets: Pets are welcome in some of our holiday homes, subject to a small additional fee. If you wish to bring pets (maximum 2 per house), this must always be pre-booked. We kindly ask that you take care of the holiday home and its furnishings. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds and should not jump up against doors and cabinets. If the pet causes damage, the tenant will be held responsible. If pets are brought into a pet-free house, a cleaning fee of DKK 2000 will be charged. If pets are no longer being brought along, please notify the reception in writing no later than 7 days before arrival. For cancellations after this, the full fee will be charged.
Tenant's Responsibility: The tenant is obliged to respect the house rules applicable to the location. The tenant is responsible for the holiday home and its furnishings. As a general rule, it is not allowed to set up tents, caravans, or similar on the center's premises. The tenant is responsible for the accommodation and its furnishings during the stay and is obligated to compensate for any damages caused by the tenant or their companions before departure. The tenant and their companions, as well as their belongings, are not covered by the accommodation's insurance but only by the tenant's and companions' own private insurance, if applicable.
Complaints: In case of issues with the holiday homes, please contact the reception immediately upon arrival. Complaints raised only after departure cannot be expected to be addressed, as we were not given the opportunity to resolve the issue during the stay.
Final Cleaning: Even when the tenant pays for final cleaning, the tenant is required to do the washing up, empty the refrigerator and freezer, and empty the trash bins before departure. The following items should
be brought or can be purchased/rented upon arrival: Bed linens, towels, dishcloths, cleaning supplies, mop, and toilet paper.
Cancellation/Change Terms: The tenant has the right to cancel the reservation up to 60 days before the rental period starts, subject to a cancellation fee of 10%/house, with a minimum of DKK 500/house. For cancellations between 60 and 30 days before the rental period starts, 50% of the full stay price will be charged, with a minimum of DKK 500/house. For cancellations less than 30 days before arrival, the full rental price will be charged. It is possible to purchase cancellation protection, see the information below. Changes to arrival and departure dates or the total length of the stay will be considered a cancellation and a new booking.
Please note that for package deals that include concert tickets with or without catering, it is only possible to obtain a refund for the accommodation part. This applies even if the cancellation deadline has otherwise been met.
Cancellation Protection: Cancellation protection can be purchased, and it entitles a full refund of the rental amount (upon presentation of a medical certificate) if the cancellation is due to sudden illness, an accident, or death affecting the tenant, their spouse, children, parents, or siblings. The protection is valid until arrival at the holiday home. The cancellation must be made in writing and is effective from receipt. A medical certificate must be provided. The insurance costs 5% of the rental amount and must be ordered at the same time as booking the holiday home and paid no later than with the first payment. The amount for cancellation protection is non-refundable.
We reserve the right for any typographical errors. Danish law applies in case of any disputes.
