HOLIDAY HOUSES
Everything you would normally bring to a summer house: bed linen, ‘ towels, tea towels, cleaning cloths, cleaning products, toilet paper, etc.
Smoke-Free
All holiday houses are smoke-free. Smoking is only permitted on the terrace.
TV and WI-FI
All houses have digital TV with a wide selection of Danish and international channels. Free wireless internet is available in the cottages and in the main centre building.
Pets
Pets are allowed in approximately half of our holiday houses. A maximum of 2 pets per house is permitted.
Final Cleaning
If you have purchased final cleaning, before departure you only need to empty the bins, dishwasher, and refrigerator, and leave the house tidy as when you arrived.
If you haven’t purchased final cleaning, you can collect a checklist from reception.
Floor washing is not required.
Environment
We work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Waste must be sorted according to the instructions in the cottage and disposed of at our recycling station located in the middle of the holiday village.
All cottages are also equipped with heat pumps to ensure low energy consumption.
Accessible Holiday Houses
We have 6 houses designed for guests with disabilities, featuring a larger bathroom and fixed support handles around the toilet. Bath stools and toilet risers are available on request (must be booked in advance).
If you require home care services, these must be arranged directly with Tønder Municipality.
Please note: The houses unfortunately do not have sufficient space to allow transfers using a patient lift – the municipality’s workplace assessment requirements (APV) cannot be met.
Common House
Our common house, with space for 20–25 people, can be rented by groups who wish to have a shared gathering place during their stay. It can only be rented in connection with the booking of a minimum of 3 holiday cottages.
The cost is DKK 525 per day, plus mandatory final cleaning at DKK 650 and electricity charges.
THE CENTRE
Indoor Activities
The centre features a large and modern indoor play area of approx. 700 m², an arcade, 8 bowling lanes, a fitness centre (ages 15+), swimming pool, and 2 sports halls.
The sports halls can be used for football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, and more – when they are not booked.
Please note:
On weekdays, the halls are used by schools and clubs, and at weekends there may be sports events, fairs, exhibitions, or tournaments.
If you want to be certain of availability, you can also rent a hall by the hour.
Outdoor Activities
Outdoors, you can play padel and tennis. Courts must be booked directly via the “Matchi” app.
There is a large playground with a bouncy cushion, multi-purpose field, and plenty of green space to enjoy.
Fitness equipment is also available on modern outdoor Kompan machines.
You are welcome to bring your own balls, rackets, and bats, but these can also be rented from reception.
Opening Hours
Opening hours for individual activities can be found directly on our website: skaerbaekcentret.dk
Facilities can be used from 10:00 on the day of arrival until 17:00 on the day of departure.
The centre is open year-round, but with limited opening hours on December 24, 25, and 31, 2026, and January 1, 2027.
Any disputes are subject to Danish law.
