MAYOR’S WELCOME
Welcome to our Summerfest Celebration!
After the snowiest winter in Utah’s history (which I know we are all grateful for), I am very excited to join you as, once again, we KICK OFF SUMMER and celebrate the rich traditions we have here in South Jordan. This year our SoJo Summerfest will be held May 30-June 3 and will be bigger and better than ever! We are committed to providing family fun for all ages and hope you’ll join us for our carnival, games, music, food, chalk art festival, activities for all, our beautiful fireworks show, and our PARADE, which will be held Saturday, June 3rd at 9:00 a.m.
South Jordan is an incredible community because of the amazing people we have here. SoJo Summerfest is an opportunity for us to come together as families and friends, make memories, renew old relationships, and start new ones. It’s also a great way to celebrate graduation as a final hoorah with your high school friends! Whether you have lived in South Jordan for a long time, have recently moved in, or are just visiting, we hope you’ll enjoy spending time with the good people who live here and will come back and join us every year as we kick off summer with our SoJo Summerfest Celebration.
A huge THANK YOU to our outstanding employees, countless volunteers, the City Council, and all those who work tirelessly to make SoJo Summerfest a great success. To each of you who help with this event and to those who keep us safe while we enjoy it, we say thank you.
With that, I hope the snow season has officially ended so you can grab your sunscreen and plan to join us for this wonderful kickoff to summer! SoJo Summerfest is an event you’ll absolutely love, and I look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Dawn R. Ramsey Mayor City of South Jordan
