Welcome to Summerfest!
It’s time for sunshine and fun as once again we KICK OFF SUMMER and celebrate the amazing community we have here in South Jordan. Our 2024 festivities begin on Tuesday, May 28, and we have an exciting lineup of events scheduled through Saturday, June 1.
This year we are having a special event at Heritage Park, next to the new splash pad. All residents are invited to join us for the unveiling of the SOUTH JORDAN PUZZLE, and the matching artwork piece that will be permanently located at the park. The beautiful puzzle was created by world renowned artist Eric Dowdle, showcasing South Jordan’s past, present, and future. The unveiling will be May 31st from 4-6 PM and those who attend will be able to meet the artist, purchase puzzles, and get them autographed.
Here in South Jordan, we maintain our commitment to providing family fun for all ages and hope you’ll join us for the countless events being held all across the city. A few of them include our Parade Preview & Kite Festival, Mulligans Bash, SoJo Summerfest Music Festival, Movie in the Park, BMX demos, Butterfly Encounter, Character Meet n’ Greets, Artisan Vendor Market, and SoJo Recreation Zone featuring activities such as fishing, archery, and soccer. The Community Center will also be home to Bingo games and as always, we will wrap up SoJo Summerfest
with our incredible fireworks. Admission to all events is FREE, with the exception of carnival rides, the race series, and vendor-sold food and beverages.
And don’t miss our PARADE on Saturday, June 1st at 9:00 AM. South Jordan is one of the best cities in America and SoJo Summerfest is an opportunity for us to come together as families and friends. It’s also a great way to celebrate graduation! We hope you’ll enjoy spending time with those you love most as you kick off summer here in South Jordan.

Join our elected officials for breakfast along the parade route at Station 61 on Saturday morning. Attendees will be able to purchase various breakfast items and chat with elected officials and their families, as well as City Staff. The breakfast is followed by the parade at 9 a.m. where you can enjoy the sights, sounds, and colors of the annual SoJo Summerfest parade. Make sure to park and get to your spot no later than 8:30 a.m., as roads will close at that time.

Marlene Stanley, the vivacious Grand Marshal with a passion for music coursing through her veins! Marlene is a devoted wife mother and grandmother with a gusto for life that is hard to match. As founder of the renowned “Sounds of the Season,” she conducted the choir with infectious enthusiasm for 19 years. Marlene’s love for choral arts is as boundless as her knack for turning any space into a seasonal wonderland with her dazzling decorations. With a mere phone call, she could rally 147 singers, affectionately referring to each one as her cherished “babies.” Join Marlene at the 2024 SoJo Summerfest parade on June 1.
