I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you who attended our recent Annual Meeting Your participation and engagement are essential to the success of our club, and we appreciate your input and support as we work to make the San Jose Country Club the best it can be For those of you who joined us virtually, a special thank you for your patience as we worked through technical difficulties. All the material from the presentation has been posted on the website. Please let us know if you need help.

I am happy to report that the construction of tennis courts 1 and 2, including the new Pickleball courts, is on schedule to be completed on time by the end of March. We are excited to provide this new recreational option for our members. If you are interested in learning more about Pickleball or how to get involved in playing at San Jose, please reach out to your tennis staff. The pros have all been certified for Pickleball instruction and are excited about the opportunity to introduce the fastest growing sport in America to San Jose Country Club

As we begin preparations for pool season, you may notice some construction activity around the pool facility in the coming weeks We are converting the pool to saltwater and will be installing new equipment to make the transition This upgrade will improve the quality of our pool water and reduce our environmental impact

Someone told me the groundhog saw his shadow last month, meaning below average temperatures for February and March I don’t want to jinx us, but boy did he get it wrong for February in Florida! We have been experiencing unseasonably hot weather, which has provided a great opportunity for more play on the golf course, and we expect the same as we move into Day Light Savings this month. We are continuing to see a rise in the number of rounds per day, which means more opportunities for player care. I respectfully request that all golfers please consciously look for opportunities to leave the course better than you found it.If you are filling your divot, please look for one more to fill. As you approach your ball on the green, find an extra pitch mark to repair. Please rake the bunkers or help your playing partners do so if it speeds up play. I think sometimes it can be easy to get zoned in on your round and forget course care at times. I’m as guilty as they come during my rounds, which is why I encourage my playing partners to politely remind me if I ever get oblivious. I encourage you to ask the same of your group!

I want to remind all members that we have several upcoming events and activities to look forward to, including the Par 3 Glow Golf event and St Patrick’s Pub Party Information and registration for these events as well as our Event calendar are always available on our website and Mobile App
