Hello,
ABOUTMEMy name is Hsieh Pei-Hsin, a jewellry designer from Taiwan.With experience of work and study, I had more appreciation of what jewelry can express.In my opinion, jewellry is very broad and is a way of communication for people to make connections with others.
About my design style,I’m deeply attracted to the european artistic culture. Hoping my works can show you not only among the classic and elegance style, but the vibrant vitality of modern aesthetic expression is even more significant, and become an unique language between you and me.

Ask yourself one question ...
When was the last time you were surprised to see the beauty and the uniqueness of the birds decorating the forest with their colorful feathers?
Taiwan, its biodiversity and the ecosystems have greatly influenced the lives of different generations because of the elevation . Taiwan, it has delicate beauty of ecological environment which is hidden behind the nature.
Taiwan, it is the place where I was born and raised.
By using “plique-à-jour”, which is highlighting and featuring the play-of-color provided by the light passing through the enamel. By hanging from the bottom to the top, which is represented the “Balance” between different creatures.
The best thing is experiencing the delicate balance of all living thing in Taiwan.

CONCEPT
A gem is a stone that is considered precious, and different gemstones have been attributed with different meaning.I designed 4 artistic gemstone rings which are used to represent 4 of my friends in the high school.
Han ( Pearl ) - A symbol of wisdom, soft and purity. Han is a leader who always leads us to achieve our goals, and she is a warn and elegant person.
Chen Tony ( Ruby ) – A symbol of love, passion and curiosity. Tony has a lot of creative and interesting ideas and she if full of girlish thoughts.
Wen ( Emerald ) – A symbol of surprise and mystery. Wen is a mysterious person but full of surprises.
Han-Sam ( Amber ) – A symbol of energy, warmth and courage. Sam is a brave and positive person with bold and strange ideas.
The rings are a symbol of the strong bond between us, and the work “No.5” is all about a cherished friendship.

The vintage style ring brings out delicate charisma with the decoration of pearls, glass ,mirror, plant and rose gold.Designed in two finger ring to create a balance condition.Furthermore,the mirror is a symbol of Han’s leadership that could reflex the truely me and then unite us.Like a garden,she is full of details.As a result,a pot of “Baby’s Breath” is hanged down by the crystals, swaying while wearing, to live vividness up.Another component is a watering device could help the plant to keep being natural and vivid.
Rose gold and Ruby were designed to present Tony’s unique traits.Beside the heart-shape ring is a pair of movable wings.In addition, the whole ring is actually a bottle of magic potion,because she always have fantasy ideas.There is a lid on the bottle that can be opened and closed to replenish the liquid.The scale at the top symbolizes her maturity,hope her could making the best choice in the protection of the blue crystal all the time.The refill bottle and dropper could always supplies power for her.

I tried to refer to my favorite artist’s style - Faberge's egg -to accentuate Wen’s surprises and wacky thoughts with using yellow gold,ceramic,gems and glass.The top half part can be rotated for viewing.Hidden under the sinuous metal skirt are eyeballs combined with black diamonds and pearls.The fish was designed to surround the egg was our pet raised in the studio.She keeps everyone in her heart all the time,so Interchangeable ceramic eggs are studded with gems that represent everyone.The upper glass lid can be opened to replace the egg.
The ring is mainly composed of yellow gold and glass,then embellished with diamonds.Removable ceramic cat travels through the ring because Sam is a cat person.Two dynamic and flexible ambers were suspended above and protected by surrounding glass.The metal frame is framed with sheets of clear glass. Among them are baby blue and pink cotton.While wearing it, you need to poke fingers into the cotton to feel the warmth of hugging the cats, and it seems to have entered Sam's dreamy world.Try to imagine this ring as a cat castle full of fantastic and bold things.
HOW I FEEL
CONCEPT
I hope that jewelry could become an alternative to language which communicates our conditions without spoken words. The ideas of “How I Feel” originate from my mental state in 2021. I had a hard time fitting myself into the new surroundings and this in turn generated unnecessary stress on myself at work. Never been good at words, I was left alone on my own. But everything I felt then is made tangible and solid into jewelry now.
Balloon is like human mentality for me. Made up of cheap rubber, its elasticity allows it to be squeezed and pumped, while it explodes when it reaches its limit.
P R O C E S S
•Firstly,I tried to make a model with acrylic mirror sheet, but the effect wasn’t work.As a result,the main material changed by copper.
•Started from sawing and welding these machine sliced of thin rounds copper.
•Then,25 parts were welded in plaster once.Next, repair welding until all the copper were fixed.
•The main ring body was done.
The metal base represents the society as a whole, holding up the tensioned balloon. The base appears to be constituted by several “X”s, but one is able to realize those “X“s are actually formed by numerous “O”s, which implies the society we live in tries as hard as it can to frame and structure its members by its rules of right or wrong, good or bad, etc.
The ring equipped with 2 balloons which being squeezed at the same time by oneself or others, represents us standing pressures from within and without.
The brooch with two pieces of metal bases squeezing an exploding balloon, pinned at the spot nearest one’s heart, one is able to feel instantly the anxiety and uneasiness under that tension. Perhaps by the increase of one’s heart beats, my condition back then would be understood.

From the aesthetic point of view, it is not always beautiful when amount is plenty. Finite things, in fact, keep creating the value and meaning of life .
The image of insects and lace frame captures those exquisite moments. Through the extraction of beauty within life, we liberate the essence of life from the volume concept.
In contrast to the negligibility of the insects, the overwhelming details of life they possess keep reminding us of the precious stories we could find in every person around us.

A gem is enough to show the beauty of the world.” Taiwan's mountains and forests constitute everything, accompanied by blue-green jade and white diamonds that best represent culture. The unique beauty of Taiwan's rich ecology is embellished on the brooch jewelry.

An ordinary afternoon, glimpses while walking. Crimson and white overlap each other, and some emerald green among them. Beautiful, it turned out to be so casually. Couldn't help but take out the phone, then left the impression. The plum blossoms I met by chance in the early spring of this year.
