Brown Box is a weekend retreat in Pondycherry, India, nestled in lush coconut and palm tree plantations that reimagines living in nature’s embrace. Its goal is to foster a direct connection with nature while also sheltering its inhabitants – a creative professional and his family.it is a single-story structure raised 1.2 metres above ground. It is situated on the back half of a rectilinear site with a generous setback that leads to a private garden.

The vast front landscape, with its natural vegetation and waterbody, creates an ideal microclimate for living. Front and back full-width glazing encloses a large open-plan living area on one side and two bedrooms on the other. A central corridor separates the shared and private areas, contains the open-plan kitchen, and connects the two varandas. The back is open to allow for views of the lush, verdant garden, but the front is louvred for privacy and cooling. The louvred panels and glazings can be opened to allow a cool breeze to enter the structure. Karaikal town has a strong French heritage.Church Street is one of the oldest streets in the city, dating back to the period of French colonialization. It has some significant heritage structures, including the iconic landmark of Karaikal, Our Lady of Angels Church, as well as some significant government buildings. This is a busy street with two schools and commercial markets.

since the potential of this street is very high, by addressing all the issues present, We redesigned a 200m section of this street, which is located in front of the church. this is a re design of a small part of church street. it streches over 1.5 km at the heart of the karaikal town.this 280+ years old street has a rich heritage value and has some of the heritage buildings like our lady of angels’s church and historic buildings which are still functioning as government buildings.it is also one of the busiest streets in karaikal.

This design is a time problem that aims to target a precinct that has long been important in society. A place of such nature (CONGREGATION) and type, where transformation must be instilled holistically, and where change has always been half-hearted and underplayed. The site is situated between Nagapattinam’s New Bus Stand and the Nagapattinam District Court ( Vacant Land ). This plot of land is still used as a temporary parking lot for visitors to the hotel and commercial facilities that surround the New Bustand. Also used for large political gatherings, temporary bazaars, small-scale exhibitions, and so on. The pathways in the design were generated based on the natural movement patterns of the people who visited the site. The open air theatre, which can seat over 300 people, has been built in the centre of the site. Behind the oat lies a lawn surrounded by vegetation and rocks, where users can unwind and immerse themselves in the trees, sunlight, and fresh air. People can simply lie on the grass and enjoy themselves with their friends and families. The site’s backside has been set aside for parking, which is easily accessible from the main road. This public space has no a rigid barrier and can be accessed from all major directions. Small shops and seating are provided in the area adjacent to the main road. This space gives people the opportunity to unwind during their busy commute. This space has the potential to serve as a social hub for the busy people in the neighbourhood.

Understanding of need of exhibition centre and ensuring all the spacial requirements are met and the design which embraces the contextual values and to strive to address sociocultural and economic development.

Aim of the project is to make the complex work autonomously being independent within it. This project gives complete understanding of exhibition background for each and every field of interest and helps the nation in the economic and physical development.

Exhibition design is a broad subject with a rich history to it. It is a discipline often overshadowed in pure minds by the exhibit themselves and, is for this reason often taken for granted. For although it is the exhibits that people go to see, it is more often the presentation- the dramatic lighting, the simple explanatory graphics, the design logic of the display modules that conveys the story in a way that we can understand and that creates a memorable effect. This complex, created with only one purpose to make it a preferred destination for international business exhibitions, trade fairs, congresses, international conferences, seminars and training programmes in India.
