Paying for College The Office of Student Financial Aid will work with you to put together a combination of scholarships, grants, student loans, parent loans and student employment to help you fund your education. Newly enrolled freshman or transfer undergraduate students pay a guaranteed tuition rate for four continuous academic years. The textbook rental program results in a significant cost savings.

This program allows you to rent books instead of buying them. **Based on a shared room in a freshman residence hall, meal plan A, and includes campus housing activity fee. Visit siue.edu/housing for information regarding upperclass student housing.

Last year, SIUE awarded more than

3,500 competitive merit-based scholarships with a four-year value ranging from $8,000 to full tuition and mandatory fees.

Estimates are for an undergraduate student who takes 15 credit hours each semester, lives on campus and has Meal Plan A. SIUE’s textbook rental program is an economical alternative to purchasing most textbooks. The rental fee ($16.30 per credit hour) is included in student fees.
