Radio Boon for Foreigners

Page 1

It was more than 15 years that DhammaSatit has arranged various kinds of Dhamma activities including Meditation for Parents, Cultivating Seeds of Mindfulness and Wisdom Course, Dhamma Talks etc. In mid year 2016, the Group distributed Radio Boon, a compact radio containing a micro sd card feature where several Dhamma novels, prayers and Dhamma books are recorded. The result is very satisfactory, especially for the elderly and bedridden patients.

Believing that Radio Boon could help patients mitigate certain mental sufferings, the Group has coordinated with many volunteer network to give or to lend Radio Boon to those in need ranging from in-patients in government palliative care, chronic, cancer, accident units, monks and nuns, crippled soldiers and border petrol police. Initially, the Group used its own fund to run this, but with more demands from hospitals around the country, the Group decided to set up an account called Radio Boon Fund to receive donation from the public and to solicit volunteers to work on this project. The fund will be used for distribution of Radio Boon for those in need and for procurement of medical supplies as requested by hospitals and palliative care centers. The Group hereby expresses our utmost gratitude to all respectable Dhamma teachers for their permissions to copy Dhamma files and talks. Thanks all volunteers for lending hands to help each other as always. May all be blessed and progress in the Dhamma of Lord Buddha until nirvana. DhammaSatit Group 11 November 2017
