WELCOME INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Welcome, new students! Welcome back, continuing students! Fall marks the beginning of exciting time on campus. We hope you are enjoying your new classes and get to participate in the many fun activities hosted throughout campus.

Travel Reminder: Before you know it, the holiday season will begin! For international students traveling outside the US during the holiday breaks at Thanksgiving in November or the Winter Break in December, now is a good time to plan your travel and get your papers in order. Please be sure to get a travel signature on your I-20 or DS-2019 if it has been more than a year since your document was last signed. Also, please check out our travel advisory for more information and tips.

These featured clubs have missions to create a community for international students on campus.

Check out this International Club: DOMESTIC & INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ALLIANCE (DISA) DISA (pronounced as deeza):  promotes cultural interactions and mutual understanding between domestic and international students, inspiring the community to become global citizens.  creates an open environment/space where both international students and domestic students can interact, get to know each other, and share their global experiences.  promotes the rich cultural activities of international students, domestic students, and the bigger Davis community by holding social events as well as culturally-specific events and activities. International Festival

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL The fifth annual International Festival will be held on October 4, 2015 at Central Park in Davis, 401 C. St. Davis, CA 95616 from 12 noon to 5 pm. This festival is put on by the International House Davis to promote “Unity in Diversity� in the community. We invite cultures from all over to come together for a day and participate in various festivities such as seeing what the entertainment stage has to offer, partaking in arts and crafts, sampling food from all over the world at our ethnic food vendors and many more activities. The International Festival offers fun for the whole family at no cost. All we ask of you is to have fun and experience the world on this special day!

Find out how to prepare yourself and your resume, who to see at the fair, what to wear and how to talk to employers about your hiring eligibility. International Cafes are an excellent opportunity to meet and interact with international and domestic students! Help yourself to free food and drinks and participate in the themed craft or activity. When: Date to be announced (during week of October 19th) Where: Student Community Center, Multipurpose Room Time: 2 - 4 PM We are always looking for student-led themed craft or activity ideas!
