SITE - (225,000 sqmts.)

• Site is a km away from main bed of nalsarovar.

• Two main road on side and a road junction.

• Water canal on south side.

• Level difference of 4mts.

• Water body on the on the west side which fill in monsoon season

ABSTRACT Nalsarovar is the largest shallow water lake of india & bird sanctuary too. The nalsarovar being an important bird area receives a large inflow of tourist (approx. 75000) each year during the winter season. Nalsarovar tourist center is to enhance the experience of the tourist visiting to nalsarovar and creating interaction between knowledge and nature.

Nalsarover invites migratory bird from far place of the world and shelter them. Get panoramic view of nalsarovar and enjoy the birds though telescopes had create pavilion . the could rest after long journey from near by city at the café and relax near the flower garden .

The nalsorovar interpretation center inviter them to understand and knowledge about birds and the geographical formation of the nalsarovar. The interpretation center has a small lake at center to entertain the tourist . there is an aquariums which has fish and marine animals. Resort for the tourist to night stay at nalsarovar with a naturopathy center to get natural treatments .

RECREATION CLUB ( URBAN INTERVENTION) Land use mapping of morbi city show the growth of tiles industries on east side and urban development of west side of river bank .As city development recreation club is important to have facilities for artiste to sports player as well as have entertainment. Facility in core of the city.

Program Studio is to design recreation club have sports complex, imax cinema with drama theater, hotel, library, on water restaurant, lounge area & swimming pools. Club is design in understanding the standards and technical understanding about sports courts & theater parameters.

Morbi cluster in gujarat is the largest tiles manufacturing zone in india and accounts for about 75-80% of india’s tiles and sanitary ware products in volume terms, with more than 800 tile factories in the region.

Cinema auditorium Design the cinematic theater for 910 seats screen ratio of 2.39:1 as per the distance of seat from center screen to last center seat and last side seat. 22.5m x 9m screen size angle 7 degrees to the projection centerline. A straight horizontal magenta line projected in the bottom of a 5% curved cinema screen. Projection throw is p(32m), picture height is h(9m). Here, the top of the beam is horizontal, the vertical projection angle is 8.4° and (32/9) p/h=3.4.

Design is base on the moment and actives in a club ambiances is to create the open environment engaging with the tree on the site. The entry is by a ramp from main road which take the people to first floor.

Ambiance of the first floor is double height hall looking though building from inside.

Also the functions are divided as per visitors.

PROGRAM Studio is to design 80- 84 dwellings as per gdcr cords .There was restriction for building high of 25 mt. Use the fsi which we obtain from the codes so the studio is to understand the codes and make submission drawing. Site was in vadodara.

APPROACH

Design the art gallery, artisan residency. And public spaces. Site is near marwadi university, rajkot, gujarat.

Case study we visited the bharat bhavan, bhopal. By study the bharat bhavan i understand the key component of the gallery are light, view point and a path of the visitor .

Understanding the path of viewer as the main focus point, the cone of vision and the light conditions.

SITE NORTH ELEVATION

INTRODUCTION Study of climate, topography, construction method & material used, and the vernacular architecture in nagar, himachal pradesh In vernacular architecture uses the natural material available near by and developing the construction method by years experience and practice. One of those method is katkuni architecture.

Katkuni construction method is a dry masonry perform out of wood and rock blocks. This method of construction has right angle overlapping wooden loges in between there is stone in which dry frame structure work as load baring wall (450mm thick). Thus it perform an insulating medium in critical temperature of -10 degree centigrade.

RELATED STUDY PROGRAM-I INTRODUCTION Study the lacquer art and the living environment of vadha community in the village of nirona, kutch, gujarat.

ANALYSIS The village of niron is hub for craft and culture. Village is divided as per the cast. The vadha community which had migrated during the independence. Lacquer art is perform by shaping and coloring the wood by rotating it on hand made machine shaping.

CONTEXTUAL STUDIO

PROGRAM Design community housing for vadha community in the village of niron studied the context of village and the community cultural beliefs.

ANALYSIS Vadha community creating the craft of lacquer work as there heredity. The artisan are living simple and value able life they work as per the need.

ACTIVITIES They spent most of the time in shaded area in semi open space also the work place where there is balance light through out the day to get proper visibility of color not too bright not too dull..

APPROACH The vadha people have simple living pattern but for the future growth of family and up bring the culture value. There is need to create basic amenities for the comfort the daily life. To give a cool shade in harsh environment in summer i design a semi open space which is shaded for the hole day, and the attempt is to make use the ground as insulating medium for living space.

OBJECTIVE

OBJECTIVE

Understanding the activities and movements of human being with respect to the surrounding and to understand human anthropometry.

We studied the functional space of security cabin at our campus, thorugh which we can understand the internal and external connectivity between two space with respect to their daily life.

We have to make two cubes from plaster of paris [pop] size of 150 x 150 x 150 mm from which we carved out cavities and punctures. Which helped us to understand the play of light, shadow and time.

DESIGN APPROACH By puncturing several holes, i designed a space which give the essense of melody.

The objective was to make a kinetic drawing by using the human anthropometry taking charcoal as a medium to express.

After completing this exersice my mind was clear about the human anthropometry and it’s limitations.
