While at Magnaflow, in a department where I was the only African American (i.e., and minority), I was retaliated against by Patti Welch, Marc Mendez, and Derek Acosta because of my race. When I told my Manger, John Cerveny, about the racial retaliation (e.g., Derek Acosta posting racist photos on my desk, Marc Mendez refusing to help me tools to be productive, Derek Acosta’s threat, etc.) I was fired after Magnaflow did an investigation and determined “… they couldn't keep me safe…” after Derek Acosta threaten to blow my brains out. I believe Patti Welch, Marc Mendez, and Derek Acosta systematically targeted me. I believe my firing was racially motivated retaliation because of my African American Heritage and because I was a Whistleblower (e.g., asking for a mentor) to the hostile work environment. I’ve reported the hostile work environment, after another minority male was killed due to the hostile work environment, to: the Department of Justice, the Sheriffs department in the FBI.
Derek Acosta posted a picture of African American dancing in the mud with the caption “ …we got milk…”. When I ask Derek about the picture he admitted to posting it and said was a joke and I should lighten up.
Joseph Green Jr. has “Above Target” performance. This review was approved by Patti Welch.
Issue with Marc Mendez VP of IT for not fixing VPN after 4 attempts, in 3 weeks, to help out. I believe this was racially motivated.
Warning for being late to work. I believe this was retaliation for the Marc Mendez incident. My manager never said anything about my tardiness; because, I was a salary worker I was told that I needed to be at work between the hours of 7:00am-9:00am. I was told my work is based on performance not hourly.
Raman Manchanda, Magnaflow’s Accountant, dies as a result of bullying from employees at Magnaflow.

Meeting with HR to talk about racial retaliation. Patti Welch said she didn’t think so.
It was clear I was not on probation.
Joseph Green Jr. asks for a Mentor to talk about Magnaflows hostile work environment (i.e., the racial retaliation I received), that may have led to Raman Manchanda’s death (i.e., Raman was bullied to the point he may have taken his own life or murdered).
Joseph Green Jr. files Incident Documentation letter to his Manager, John Cerveny, with regards to the retaliation he received after asking for a Mentor to talk about the hostile work environment. Derek Acosta threatens to blow Joseph Green Jr. brains out with a concealed carry fire arm. Magnaflow fires Joseph Green Jr. and say “…we can’t keep you safe here…”.
Joseph Green Jr. files with Employment Development Department State of California (i.e., EDD) unemployment. He also reports the threat to his life to EDD.
