Focusing on the joy of competing may just be the secret to overcoming the nerves of coveting our biggest achievements This was recently demonstrated by SSM’s Caleb Co, Audrey Keng, and Sophia Aw, who participated in the latest JISMO competition and earned some of the highest-ranking awards. In an online examination-styled competition with questions around the Mathematics and Science subjects, it is an inspiration to see how a love of learning, fun, and hard work can get anyone remarkable success, even in primaryschool!

DespitealwayshavinganinterestinMathematicsand Science, they did not go without practice. Their keen initiative in stretching their aptitudes was one of the many ingredients to success. The young students actively took their learning into their own hands, asking for advanced worksheets and concepts themselves. With little familiarity with the computer, they also reflected on how hard it was to memorise thekeyboardinpreparationforthecompetition
