“I have attended a few seminars on Estate Planning, and I was aware that I needed to start this process sooner than later. I was fortunate to attend an Estate Planning seminar presented by Suren Adams. I was very impressed with her professionalism, her impeccable knowledge of the subject matter, and the ability to present the information in an understandable language. Suren’s noteworthy credentials speak for themselves, and her service costs are comparable to others in the area. I would highly recommend her service to anyone who is interested in the Estate Planning process. I guarantee that once you attend Suren’s seminar, you will not delay in starting the process today!”

Started in 2018 by former drummer and music producer turned real estate professional Eric Haskins, The Haskins Group has quickly carved out its niche as a problem-solving, family-focused real estate company. What began as a pivot away from travel and weekend gig work, motivated by a desire to spend more time with family, has since evolved into a one-stop shop for clients navigating the complexities of home buying, selling, and investing.
Having been self-employed since the age of 20, stepping into real estate felt like a natural extension of that independence. Originally drawn to real estate investing and, ultimately, development, he decided first to learn the business as a realtor, with future goals of owning a brokerage.
The Haskins Group offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to support clients at every stage of their real estate journey. Beyond buying, selling, and rental properties, both residential and some commercial properties, the business also connects clients with trusted affiliates. This network includes people who offer credit repair, tax services, top lenders, mortgage brokers, and preferred title companies. These offerings turn the firm into what he calls a “one-stop shop for anything having to do with real estate.”
At its core, the business places a strong emphasis on first-time home buyers. “I work with them very well, because I like to see home buyers get into their first home,” he reflects. Haskins advises aspiring homeowners to be intentional and informed about their financial standing. “Know and understand what your goals are. Where you are financially, your budget, your credit score, and future income,” he says, adding that a six-month plan and thorough research can make a significant difference.
What truly sets The Haskins Group apart, however, is its commitment to solving problems rather than avoiding them. Whether it’s connecting sellers to contractors, whose repairs can be paid for out of the sale proceeds, or guiding clients through unexpected challenges, The Haskins Group is dedicated to making the process as smooth as possible. “We don’t run away from any issues,” he says.
At the heart of the operation from the very beginning, his commitment to family extends
to his clients as well, describing the business as “family-oriented” and emphasizing, “I love families. I love working with families.” Whether it’s helping first-time buyers or solving complex issues for sellers, the work is ultimately driven by a vision to “build more communities for families,” turning real estate into a pathway for lasting stability and growth.
In every aspect, The Haskins Group reflects Haskin’s belief in family values and long-term community impact, turning real estate from a transaction into a personal journey.

TINA MARIE MARSHALL
REALTOR® and Broker|Owner of MD | Prime Realty Co., is redefining what it means to lead while guiding her clients through one of life’s major transitions.
Article By Alyson Turner
For Tina Marie Marshall, real estate is deeply personal. As the Broker and Owner of MD | Prime Realty Co., VA | Prime Realty Co., DC | Prime Realty Co., and a principal owner of Signature Title, she leads with heart, integrity, and a firm belief that people deserve more than just a transaction. Whether a client is buying their first home, selling after a loss, or stepping into a new chapter, Tina Marie offers more than expertise, she offers reassurance. With over 22 years in the industry, three successful brokerages under her belt, and partnership in a title company, she credits her success to the philosophy that 80 percent of her work is about relationships, and 20 percent is about real estate.
“I had a vision to build a successful woman-owned, black-owned brokerage. We are now poised to expand across the country and eventually internationally,” Tina Marie tells us, “I own three separate brokerages,
and currently we are focused on launching more firms in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. From the beginning, I wanted to create something that was just for me without having to be under the umbrella of a larger company.”
Tina Marie’s motivation is not sales volume or even the amount of clients she can bring in, it is about providing the best service that she can to all of her clients. Tina Marie says, “No one should be denied based on where they live. Everyone should be treated with respect, equally, no matter what you are spending. I am a lifetime resident of Prince George’s County, I want my money to be spent in Prince George’s County, and I want to grow the tax base with my own businesses right here in my community. I never planned to have agents under me, but I decided to help grow the next generation of new agents. 70% of my team started as new agents that wanted to learn how to serve our communities. I wanted to impart my wisdom and share everything that I had learned about this business; not just strategies to sell, but how to serve our clients and Prince George’s county.”
One thing that sets Tina Marie apart is her desire to help others with “Right Now” wealth through owning real estate. “My business has been 100% referral based, thriving on word of mouth. I wanted people to hear from me [in this article] and I wanted to share with the community how we help get clients into their own homes,” Tina Marie says, “ We are a mid-level boutique firm. We look out for our agents by charging less in fees so that they can have more money in their pockets. My team has consistently won awards and are on track in 2025 to become a gold award winning team meaning they have a production of $10 million or more, and are one of Prince George’s County’s top teams. I am proud of our success and of our staying power.”
Tina is a mom of two and a world traveler having been to 43 countries and 40 states, but she says that no matter where she is in the world, she is just a call away. “I truly believe that me being busy is not more important than helping you with your needs. When I first wanted to buy a home in 2003, the agents I worked with did not have the level of care or concern that I know we should offer. I wasn’t able to buy a home until 2005, and by that time I had to pay almost double what I was hoping to pay a year and half earlier. I dedicated myself to teaching “Right Now” wealth so that people understand how to buy a property, how to live there for a while, then buy another property and invest the equity you earn. I teach people to use your home for a purpose,” Tina says.
One of the biggest driving factors for her is to give back to the area she loves. “I grew up and was raised in the Palmer Park section of Landover, Maryland. I graduated from the Prince George’s County public school system where I learned my business acumen in high school and took college credits. I had essay
scholarships, and I took the classes that I could afford. Eventually, I worked my way up through the library system in Prince George’s county and then took that experience to all of my other career paths,” Tina Marie says, “I went to real estate school because I felt that I wasn’t getting stellar service from any of the agents I met. I wanted to learn what I needed to know to buy a house for me and my family.”
She continues, “It can be a challenge because people underestimate me, but I have been doing this for 22 years. I have contracting expertise, and like to ensure people understand the global impacts of their decision to purchase a specific property. I want to make sure that people can live better lives if they make a sound smart real estate decision. There are inherent biases in the real estate process, but I make sure that everyone I work with gets the same level of attention and education. I tell them everything that I know about obtaining housing successfully. I take the time that the first agent didn’t spend time with me, to really educate my clients and provide tangible goals to work towards.”
“In addition to my brokerages, I am a principal owner for Signature Title. It is always important to have an organized title company because you want to make sure the title on any property is clear whether you are buying or selling. You want a fair price and you want the title company to be specifically available if you need to go back for any reason. Many title companies come and go, but Signature Title has partners who have been in this industry for 30 years. You can count on us and you can count on having your paperwork available when you need it.” Tina Marie says.
Tina Marie offers one thing above all else and that is loyalty to her clients. “My allegiance is to my clients and I work with partners who provide that same quality service. I will work with my clients’ lenders or banks, but if they ask for a recommendation from me, I let them know who my trusted lender partners are. They have to parallel how I operate. I am always available to my clients and people talk directly to me, not my secretary, not my firm, and I will only entrust my clients to people with the same philosophy who go above and beyond in our industry.”

For Lisa Campbell, the owner of the chic and innovative TREND Boutique, fashion has been a lifelong passion. From childhood, she was captivated by the beauty of style, inspired by her mother’s impeccable style and her grandmother’s sewing prowess. It was her grandmother who taught her to sew. These early influences shaped her keen eye for color, detail, and craftsmanship, sparking a creative journey as a young designer that began with repurposing clothing at an early age. “I would take something that’s already been created and I would reinvent it. I would sew fur collars onto coats for an entirely new style/look,” she recalls.
Though TREND Boutique officially debuted in 2023, its foundation was years in the making. Before opening, Lisa immersed herself in the fashion industry/world, attending shows and trade events in New York, networking, and honing her skills through sewing classes. This dedication resulted in a business that reflects both her artistry with a mission to empower women through style. “I want to show young women class,” Lisa asserts. “My pieces are classy, sophisticated, and unique, and they speak volumes.”
Choosing the name TREND was a natural progression for Lisa. “My pieces are trendsetters,” Lisa explains. “And trends are always changing. Whatever the latest is: that’s the trend.”
Her boutique beautifully embodies this philosophy, showcasing both her own original designs and curated pieces from other designers, reflecting her brand’s commitment to elegance and distinction.
TREND Boutique aims to serve an audience as diverse as its collection. Lisa’s vision transcends mere fashion, embracing it as an art form that empowers women across all ages, sizes, and colors. Reflecting on her journey, she fondly recalls buying inventory from a fashionable woman in her 80s who was closing her boutique during the pandemic. “Style is ageless,” she notes. “That woman inspired me, and I was amazed at her style.” It’s this inclusivity that Lisa hopes to pass on, encouraging younger generations to see fashion as a form of empowerment and self-expression rooted in sophistication.
What sets TREND Boutique apart in the fashion world, she says, is its originality. “My boutique is unique. You will not see these styles anywhere else,” Lisa explains. “It’s a style of my own.” Looking ahead, Lisa has her sights set on expanding her online presence, taking her brand global, and seeing her designs in major fashion weeks and television productions.
For Lisa, however, it’s the personal fulfillment that truly fuels her passion.
“Ultimately, my boutique is my canvas, where I merge my love for fashion, design, and interior beauty to create an experience that celebrates every woman’s unique allure and sophistication,” she shares. “People can get a piece of me and who I am; my skill, my ability, and my talent.”
TREND Boutique is preparing to launch its highly anticipated website, featuring exclusive designs, fashion show clips, and a selection of styles available for purchase. In the meantime, fashion enthusiasts can stay updated on the latest trends and collections by following their Instagram handle @shop.trendboutique.

From engineering to entrepreneurship, Bokah Worjoloh, Regional Vice-President and independent investment advisor, is on a mission to empower everyday families through guidance, education, and lifelong relationships.
Article By Alyson Turner
Photography By: Trans4mationphotography
For Bokah Worjoloh, financial advising isn’t just about numbers, it’s about people. As Regional Vice-President with Primerica and founder of Worjoloh Financial Solutions, he helps individuals and families build stronger financial futures with informed decisions. With a four-step approach and a deep commitment to client relationships, Bokah empowers others to face their finances with confidence instead of fear. From guiding clients through retirement planning to offering judgment-free support during life’s toughest transitions, he’s not just an investment advisor, he’s a long-term partner in your financial journey.
Bokah helps families make better financial decisions through education, guidance, and support. “It’s hard to make a good decision if it is not an informed decision. People tend to be afraid of financial decisions and put their head in the sand hoping everything turns out okay. The truth is, there aren’t many things that you need to know to make smart financial decisions. When you combine your own commitment with someone in your corner who has financial knowledge, you create a blueprint for a strong financial life moving forward,” Bokah says, “I’ve been licensed since 2003, and in recent years I’ve strongly encouraged clients to focus on retirement planning. Many people are hesitant [to plan for their future] because they don’t know what the future looks like for them. The product
I provide to them isn’t about the annuity, the mutual fund, or even the retirement plan, the product is giving people peace of mind. I can paint a picture that shows what retirement can look like. It takes away that fear and the surprises.”
Clients should expect to be transparent when sitting down for a financial consultation. Bokah has adopted a four-step process to get to know his clients and build long-term financial relationships with a Discovery, Design, Deployment, and Due Diligence phase. Bokah says, “The discovery phase is the “getting to know you” phase, figuring out what your goals are, and exploring your current situation. The financial plan is the bridge between the two. I start the conversation by asking some pertinent questions like, ‘What do you have going on? How much do you have saved? Do you have a pension coming? What are your plans for the future?’ We then figure out your assets, upcoming pensions, social security, etc. For the design appointment, I take your data and map out how we can accomplish your goals. Once I design a plan, we discuss how to adjust if needed. When it comes to clients who are not close to retirement, we also discuss your cash flow plan. The design phase may take multiple meetings, but I keep each one about an hour so as to not overwhelm my clients. Once the plan has been approved, the products are
deployed. For due diligence, we have a summary appointment, reconfirm the plan, and maintain a series of follow-ups. When you work with me, you’ve got me for life. There will always be someone in your corner.”
On a career path that took a turn from engineering and construction to financial services, Bokah didn’t set out to work in financial services. Coming from a very large family, he moved to Maryland after finishing his degree. When visiting his cousin, he invited him to sit in on a meeting with a small Primerica team. He says, “I thought the concept was really interesting so I stopped by their office to check out their services. I was intrigued by the idea of helping people. Traditionally, the middle class is ignored by financial services companies. I started attending training and
became licensed in 2003. It wasn’t until I started meeting with clients that I learned how little people know about money. Taking control of your finances can be simple, and it motivated me to pursue a career in the industry.”
After facing serious health challenges, Bokah’s approach to wealth building and legacy planning came back into focus. “I ran track in college, so when I had a heart attack, it shocked everyone including me. That moment made me realize that health events can happen to anyone, no matter how fit you are. You can’t control if or when something will happen, but you can take care of yourself and be prepared with income producing assets like annuities or income funds, and/or life insurance protection. You have to build a financial life that supports you and your family, even if you’re no longer able-bodied. Passive income and smart investments aren’t just about wealth,” Bokah says, “I rededicated myself to my family, my fitness, and my financial clients. The client experience is always something I am working to improve. I would say what makes me stand out is that I am available to you. If you call me, you get me. If you text me, I text back. If I miss your call, I will call you back. I’m understanding and I don’t judge people. No one is perfect, especially not myself. I tell my clients, ‘You can do whatever you want, but here’s how it will affect you. I’m not here to tell you how to live your life, but I can tell you how your choices will affect your financial life.”
When it comes to a strong piece of advice, Bokah says to pick up the phone. “Everything gets better once you start paying attention to it. Make that commitment to pay attention to your finances. People who ignore them or just “hope” everything is going to be okay won’t do as well as those who take that first step. You are going to be guided through the process and you are going to be educated through the process. I’m here to arm you with knowledge. Everybody can make it financially. Everyone can be financially successful. It’s not just for certain people. If you do the right things long enough you are going to see the results that you are looking for.”
Avoid costly probate delays and protect your loved ones with help from one of Prince George’s premier estate planning law firms, Adams Law Office, LLC.
Article By: Alyson Turner
When it comes to securing your legacy and protecting what matters most, having a clear, tailored estate plan is one of the smartest moves you can make. Attorney Suren Adams, of Adams Law Office, highlights the importance of protecting the assets that you have worked for while leaving a legacy for the next generation. With a focus on helping individuals and families avoid the delays, costs, and complications of probate, the Adams Law Office team takes a proactive approach to planning for the future.
Suren tells us that most people reach out after going through the probate process (after a loss) and want to avoid that process
for their own families. People also reach out for assistance when they are faced with probate. “It is a lengthy court process that can be extremely costly. We will assist clients through probate, but ideally we start by planning ahead of a tragedy. When you prepare your estate plan, you are effectively structuring your estate and assets to be handled after you are gone.”
When it comes to estate planning, many people are surprised to learn that a Trust is something that they should be considering. “We do alot of Trust planning for families of varying incomes. It is definitely something to consider if you have children, own real
estate, or want to be specific about how people will inherit from your estate. Without a plan in place, your family will end up in an expensive and time consuming probate situation that could have been avoided. Trusts are great tools to help structure assets for your children and family. Most people think that a Will is the only document you need, but without a properly structured estate plan that includes a Trust, a Will by itself can still lead to probate,” Suren says.
For the team at Adams Law Office, understanding what the client wants to convey to the next generation is crucial. “Our secret sauce is connection. We ensure
clients are including the things they truly want for their plans, and the only way to do that is to learn our clients’ goals, needs, and their specific family situation. We use this knowledge to determine our course of action. We set up a planning session, and we have the client provide us information about their family which we review before meeting,” Suren tells us, “We structure the planning session by introducing ourselves and sharing a bit about why we do what we do so that the client gets to know us and they feel comfortable with us. This helps us stand apart from others in the industry; building upon that relationship. We ask, ‘What are your current goals? What are you trying to accomplish, and what do you want to make sure happens at the end of day?’”
Suren and her team want clients to feel a sense of peace. “When a client leaves our
office after a signing ceremony, they should have the weight of the world lifted off their shoulders. That is how we know we have done a good job. Our clients want to know that they have taken care of their families and our goal is to make sure we have done that for them,” Suren says.
Starting the process may feel daunting, but it is important to read reviews of the law firm you choose and to go with one that you feel a connection with. “We put testimonials on our website, but prospective clients should read Google reviews to see for themselves. Then, speak to friends, families, and neighbors about their own experiences with this process. We pride ourselves on what people have said about us online. We strive to provide a premier level of service, and to be consistent with each and every client,” Suren says, “You have to look for someone who is providing consistent service every time. You also want to make a connection with your lawyer and feel comfortable
knowing that the firm really wants to care for your family because you are more than just a fee.”
Before you even book a consultation, it is important to learn what you can about the estate planning process. A good place to start is by reviewing the Adams Law Office online webinar. It is a very user-friendly way to get the foundation you need before even speaking with a lawyer. “It is really valuable to get that information ahead of time to ensure you end up with a good estate plan. One of the worst things to do is put it off because a complete estate plan is less expensive than probate and can help your family avoid that costly, lengthy process,” Suren says.
In a time where things often feel chaotic, estate planning offers a level of control within your sphere of influence. “You have worked hard to attain the things in your life, and in order to protect your family, you need an estate plan that will preserve your legacy.”
When people meet Jonvoana R. Evans, widely known as Life Coach Von, they are struck by her presence—a rare combination of warmth, wisdom, and vision. A woman of faith and fortitude, Life Coach Von has turned personal trials into a legacy of transformation, equipping both individuals and industries to rise to their next level of purpose.
Her journey is proof of one of her guiding affirmations: “What you do is not who you are, but who you are makes you great at what you do.”
Jonvoana is not just a life coach—she is a certified professional with layered expertise. She is a Certified Life Coach, a Certified NeuroCoach and NeuroLeader with a concentration in entrepreneurship and education, and she has completed extensive studies in health and wellness coaching. She is currently preparing to sit for the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), a credential that sets the gold standard for health coaching worldwide.
Her certifications are more than titles—they represent her belief in lifelong learning and in leading by example. In her words: “Confidence is built, not borrowed.”
Her philosophy of FLY—First Loving Yourself— is central to her work. As she explains, “First Loving Yourself starts with you, but it doesn’t end with you.” By empowering herself holistically—mind, body, and spirit—she is able to help heal, support, and guide others on their own journeys of transformation.
Jonvoana has expanded her reach by partnering with health centers (Eze Health Center), where she provides life and wellness coaching for patients seeking to live healthier and wealthier lives. She also proudly supports her husband, Dr. Robert L. Evans III, in his leadership of Integrative Therapeutic Solutions, an outpatient mental health clinic that provides critical support to the community. And through the FLY Life Coaching Association, she connects those trained coaches with clients in need, multiplying her impact far beyond her own sessions. This includes the launch of the Executive Leadership Coaching & Training (ELCT) program, which equips leaders with holistic strategies for sustainable success in health, business, and life.
Life Coach Von is no stranger to the spotlight. She has spoken at the Congressional Black Caucus, the
NAACP Regional Conference, and most recently on the global stage at Oxford University during the World Literacy Summit. She has been featured in New York Weekly, Time Business News, Medium, VoyageBaltimore, and CanvasRebel, to name a few. She has appeared on radio segments, numerous podcasts, and stood as a keynote speaker at conferences, workshops, and retreats celebrating women, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders.
At the heart of each platform, her message is clear: transformation begins with self-awareness and the courage to embrace growth. Or, as she tells her audiences, “Before you can become anything, you must first… be.”
What sets Jonvoana apart is not only her coaching excellence but her vision for the future of the coaching industry itself. With a background in cybersecurity and IT, she has long understood the power of technology to shape industries. Today, she is harnessing that insight to create tools that revolutionize coaching development.
As the CEO of coAchIng 3.0, she has launched a cutting-edge platform that allows coaches to sharpen their skills through interactive client scenarios, reflective quizzes, and soon, AI-powered feedback. The platform is built not only to help coaches gain confidence but to transform the profession itself.
Her newest initiative, The AI-Powered Coach™, carries the tagline: “Power your purpose with AI.” For Evans, artificial intelligence is not a replacement for human coaches—it is a force multiplier that ensures coaches can serve more effectively, more consistently, and with greater impact.
“AI will never replace the heart of coaching,” she explains. “But it will replace the coaches who refuse to grow with it.”
Behind the accolades, Jonvoana is also a proud wife and mother. She and Dr. Evans are raising a blended family of six children—a role she calls her greatest accomplishment. Her faith in God anchors her, and she freely acknowledges that every stage of her journey has been guided by grace.
Her book, While I Was Waiting on God, He Was Waiting on Me, chronicles her personal transformation and continues to inspire readers who feel caught in life’s in-between seasons. She has also created eBooks, affirmation decks, and journals,
tools that help people reframe their mindset and declare their worth daily.
Among her many affirmations, one she lives by is: “My best was good for today, but tomorrow I will do better.”
Jonvoana R. Evans is not just leading clients; she is building ecosystems. Through her academy, association, and coAchIng 3.0 platform, she is shaping the next era of coaching—one that is holistic, innovative, and accessible.
Her journey from personal trials to international stages proves what she now teaches others: that purpose can be powered, resilience can be cultivated, and transformation can ripple outward to impact generations.
And as she looks ahead, her commitment remains unwavering: to help people see themselves the way God sees them, and to leave every space she touches better than she found it.
