Okay, that may be a bit tongue in cheek, but you get the idea! Building a list is a skill and maintaining a great relationship with your subscribers in another valuable skill. But we’ll save the maintenance bit for another day because at first you’ve got to build that list – and that’s why I’ve published this report. My own list has steadily grown to over 40,000 subscribers which is all very well, but the real question you must be asking is “How can I build my list starting from zero?”

Over the last couple of years I’ve built my list to over 40,000 subscribers its very lucrative for me making well over $1 per month per subscriber! I regard my list as the greatest asset I have in my online business but somewhere along the way I must have started with a list of zero! In fact, we all started with a list of zero! So, how did I grow mine so quickly and how did I get started? I think its far more credible if I give you a real case study of someone that I’ve coached personally and has genuinely built his list starting from zero all in the last 6 months.

When most people start Internet Marketing they suffer from three key problems which have a massive effect on their level of success: # No traffic # No list # No money If you're suffering from these problems, you might feel like you've hit the end of the road … but it doesn't have to be like that.

There is an amazing solution to all of these newbie problems in the form of JV Giveaways.

I struggled to build a list for almost a year using all the traditional techniques like blogging, ezine article marketing and pay-per-click (wow, was that expensive!) - and they all have their place in Internet Marketing, that's for sure.

However, using those techniques, it took me almost a year to build a subscriber list of – wait for it – just 25 people.

Oh, and I didn't make any money out of those subscribers either!

Then I discovered Giveaways, and within ½ a year I was generating massive traffic to all my offers, making money (not 10s, not 100s but 1000s of dollars) and I had a list of over 4000 subscribers.

Giveaways come in all shapes and sizes as you can see from the screen grabs above.

They use two main scripts: The Ultimate JV Giveaway Script Giveaway Manager At the time of writing, Giveaway Manager is just about to be re-launched, so many people are holding Giveaway Manager 2 events, but there are also some Giveaway Manager 3 events now taking place.

Other scripts are available, but these are the most used scripts and the best ones.

All Giveaways, whatever script they use, follow the same basic principals: # JV (Joint Venture) contributors get together to list high quality gifts – usually related to IM themes – for free. The JV contributors are made up of Internet Marketers, some of them established with massive lists, others with mid-size lists and some who are completely new to list building. # When the event opens, regular members log in for free to load up with all the high quality gifts. However, to obtain the free gifts, they have to sign up to marketers' auto responder sequences first to access the download page. That's how you grow your list.

Giveaways offer many upgrade options, which means that not only can you drive more traffic to your offers, you can also start to make money straight away.

Here are the 'extras' that an upgrade would give you: # Listing special offers.

You can sell these at any price you wish. Sometimes the Giveaway host will take a percentage of the proceeds as a commission, often you are given 100% of your own sale proceeds, it varies by event.

Text ads are just like the plain text adverts that you'd see when you use popular search engines.

They are not available in the Giveaway Manager script.

A new feature for upgraded JV Contributors in Ultimate JV Giveaway Script events is the ability to make these text ads eye-catching, picture ads.

They allow you to create customized adverts which will drive Giveaway traffic to: # Your blog or website # Profitable affiliate offers # Your own special offers # Any other promo links that you wish to use

The Giveaway Process Giveaways take part in two stages: #1 The JV contributors sign-up, list their gifts, special offers and text ads.

They are given unique affiliate links to promote the Giveaway to other Internet Marketers.

If those marketers sign up, then go on to upgrade their account to access more benefits, the referrer gets to keep a commission (usually 75% or 100%) This is the JV element in action, where everybody works together for the overall success of the event. #2 The Giveaway opens to members on a designated day and date. They are presented with special offers every time they sign into the Giveaway, and many go on to buy.

If one of the people that you referred buys the initial special offer when they first sign up to the event, you will take a commission, usually 75% or 100%.

The special offers are automatically rotated at random, so your gift may display many times within a single event, creating the type of traffic that you simply couldn't create on your own when you're a newbie.

Text Ads are also automatically rotated on Giveaway pages at random during the event, so your offers may be presented to potential buyers several hundred times, driving even more traffic to your offers.

When a Giveaway opens, there is a massive surge of potential new subscribers, all signing up to new subscriber lists.

These are your potential customers and if they sign up to your list, you have the opportunity to sell to them time and time again.

The Giveaway Trap So far I've shown you how you can drive massive traffic, build a subscriber list really fast and start to make money straight away in Giveaway events.

I hope I've convinced you already that these are very powerful opportunities, and they're frequented by newbies and IM professionals alike.

There is one potential trap that you need to beware of before you get signed up and started.

But you can't just sit there and let everybody else do the work!

You must promote the Giveaway or your account will be downgraded.

That means if you paid to upgrade, so you can list more gifts, text ads and special offers, you will have wasted that money.

However, if you do promote the Giveaway to JV contributors and regular members, you will be rewarded with commissions (if they upgrade) and points, which will place your gifts nearer the beginning of the event, rather than at the end.

If it's at the beginning of the event, more people sign up, more people join your list of subscribers and you stand to generate more income.

So what do you do if you're a first time contributor and you have nobody to promote to?

And how do you go about promoting a Giveaway if you've never written an email or piece of sales copy in your life?

No need to worry, it's all taken care of by the Giveaway host.

Giveaway Extras Every Giveaway provides you with free resources to help you to promote the event.

This not only helps you to make money, it assists you in getting new sign-ups via your affiliate links, and that in turn helps you to avoid being downgraded.

Most Giveaway events offer you these tools: # Ready written auto responder messages to span the entire event # Auto Tweets, to enable you to promote on Twitter (Buzz and Twitter are great if you don't have a list when you start) # An RSS feed of the gifts, which you can place on your Facebook/social networking page or blog/website if you have one # Attractive promotional banners to place on your Facebook/social networking page or blog/website if you have one

Giveaway Quick Start The one thing that you must have in a Giveaway is an auto responder.

You can get an auto responder from the following respected sources (many others are available) and each service provider gives plenty of coaching on how to use them and get the best from them: AWeber (This is what I currently use myself) Benchmarkemail.com GetResponse.com (This is a very popular choice among Internet Marketers) GetResponse will actually let you sign up for its 0-100 option completely free, no credit card info required, so if you want to try a single Giveaway at no cost or risk whatsoever, this is a great way to start.

After your auto responder, to capture your leads, you must have a gift.

The good news is that you don't actually have to create one, there are plenty available for free … just check that they come with 'Giveaway rights' first.

My favorite sources of free, high quality gifts for Giveaway events are listed below, and these are services which I personally use.

Most of them offer upgrade options, and of course you get a better product if you upgrade, but the basic, cost-free options offered by all these sites give any Giveaways newbie a great place to start: ResellRightsWeekly.com ResellRightsMastery.com ViralEbookExplosion.com It's important to be able to list profitable special offers as quickly as possible in Giveaways as these will boost your earnings.

You should always opt for quality offers as these will sell better.

My Giveaway Tips Although Giveaways are, in my opinion and experience, the best way to build a list fast, generate massive traffic and start making money straight away, like anything, there are tips, tricks and techniques that separate the top performers from the 'also rans'.

You wouldn't expect to jump in a car and drive it perfectly before you'd had lessons, similarly, you can jump into Giveaways and take part straight away, but the more practice and coaching that you get, the better you'll perform.

Here are 5 key Giveaway tips to get you started and launch you on your way to rapid Giveaways success: #Tip 1 Don't upgrade in your first Giveaway if you don't have a list already.

If you don't have any subscribers yet, sign up for free, wait until you have added at least 20 people to your list, then start to upgrade. # Tip 2 Many people struggle to list special offers in Giveaways, and although it's not too difficult, you may have problems if you have zero knowledge and experience of HTML. There is some limited support and guidance given within each Giveaway event.

Don't worry if you can't list a special offer … once you have a list, just take the upgrade when you're ready, add extra gifts and text ads if they're available and leave the special offers until you're ready.

Pick the low hanging fruit first, it's easier.

Use social networks to promote your affiliate links to first (don't overdo it, nobody wants a pushy salesperson as a Facebook friend) and as soon as you get your list of subscribers up-and-running, use both to help you to promote.

#Tip 4 Use the information that's provided in the Giveaway to improve your own performance.

Every Giveaway has a leader board and you can see exactly who's doing well and who's not doing so well.

Analyze what the top promoters are doing, learn from them, ask yourself how you could emulate what they're doing to improve your own performance.

See which gifts are popular, which topics perform well and who's piling on the subscribers.

Be patient at first, I started at the bottom of the leader boards when I began taking part in Giveaways, nowadays if I commit to promoting properly, I can often take one of the Top 3 promotion prizes. #Tip 5 Use text ads to promote other Giveaway events.

If you think about it, everybody in a Giveaway is 'pre-sold' on these events … the very fact they're inside the site tells you that they want to be a part of these promotions.

Remember, this will prevent you from being downgraded for no promotion and for every referral who upgrades, you take a commission.

Summary I haven't yet discovered a quicker, better or more profitable way of building a list fast than in Giveaways.

If anybody knows of a better one that doesn't involve a hefty price tag or a year working out how to use the software, let me know, I'd love to use it.

Giveaways will give you the rapid success and results that you really need when you start out in Internet Marketing.

They give you quick and effective leverage … the leverage to approach other marketers with your list of subscribers and start doing deals, profitable cross promotions and moneymaking launches.

Once you have a list of 500-1000, you can diversify by trying ad-swaps, product launches as an affiliate and driving direct traffic to your own offers.
