Some short facts and statistics • The project “Drilling in the Arctic – The Pump Trump” was carried out during a five day period (5–10.3.2018) outside Gluffet, about one mile outside the Finnish coastline.

• The conceptual art project illustrates oil drilling in the Arctic and makes a comment about President Donald Trump leaving the Paris Climate Accord.

• The Pump Trump construction was inspired by the classical and iconic Pump Jack.

• The project investigates – in a playful way – whether it would be possible to “heal” some of the ice. This might be done in larger scale by using renewable energy?

• The equipment was built from recycled materials, that will be recycled again after the project.

• The equipment was brought to the site by using human power – the pump was also hand driven.

• The pump displacement per stroke was about 4 litres (probably a bit smaller due to some leakage). Approximately 21 000 litres of water was pumped in five hours (one hour per day).
