The subject of the book is the evolution of the cover design of the editorial series published by Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Editore, from 1955 until 2018.
The volume aims to be a guide to the design history of the publishing house based in Milan, through an excursus divided into four areas of interest, the four macro–areas of the book: the first tells about the story of its founder, Giangiacomo Feltrinelli; the second tells the story of the publishing house; the third illustrates the list of edited series, with the reference code of the series, followed by the design analysis of some of them; finally, the fourth one shows the graphic designers who have edited both the covers and the Feltrinelli publishing series.
In the book there are more than 200 covers and a list of every publishing series published from 1955 to 2018.
