FROM LOS ANGELES TO BRISBANE
An Ocean of Time

44 DAYS | 10 COUNTRIES | 22 DESTINATIONS | 2 UNESCO SITES

CHAPTER 1 FROM LOS ANGELES TO PAPEETE
A NEW ERA OF TRANQUILITY

Begin your voyage of ocean discovery by leisurely sailing the Pacific westward from Los Angeles to Hawaii and the French Polynesian islands. Take your time as you visit heavenly destinations such as Honolulu, Mo’orea and Hilo, with late departures that allow for deeper exploration and a quieter pace of travel. We’ve scouted the region for only the most incredible destination experiences, including visits to a pearl farm, vanilla plantation, and historic wonders such as UNESCO site Marae Taputapuatea.

HILO, HAWAII (USA) / 14 January
The first port of call in this epic journey, the small and charming town of Hilo features a crescent-shaped bay, dramatic waterfalls, emerald rainforests and brightly coloured gardens rich with exotic tropical plants. A late departure means you’ll have all the time you need to explore the distinctive character and natural beauty of this voyage’s first look at Hawaii.
NUKU HIVA (FRENCH POLYNESIA) / 24 January
The largest of the French Polynesian Marquesas islands, Nuku Hiva was made famous by novelist Herman Melville, held captive here by the natives of this island in 1842. You, on the other hand, will be captivated by the isle’s slow-paced nature, as you follow in Melville’s footsteps to explore its intimate beaches and quiet inland wilderness.
RAIATEA (FRENCH POLYNESIA) / 28 January
The beating heart of the Society Islands, Raiatea is considered the cradle of Polynesian culture and was the starting point for early explorers who set off to bring their culture and traditions to islands across the Pacific. From calming and picturesque Teto’oroa Bay to the top of Mount Temehani and the lush valleys below, Raiatea is a wonder for all the senses.
Welcome and Bon Voyage

7 JANUARY 2027 — LOS ANGELES (USA)
As a World Cruise guest, your voyage begins before it begins, with an exclusive Bon Voyage event and welcome dinner the evening prior to setting sail. This tantalising multi-course dinner introduces you to your fellow voyagers and showcases a variety of dishes from several of your upcoming destinations.

AN OCEAN OF TIME
EXCLUSIVE WORLD CRUISE EVENT
Hawaiian Treasures

17 JANUARY 2027 — HONOLULU, HAWAII (USA)
To honour the ancient Polynesians who braved 4,000 kilometres of open ocean in canoes to settle here, you’ll gather for a traditional ho’olaule’a as the sun sets over the island. You’ll savour tropical beverages and fresh seafood baked in a traditional imu underground oven as you look up to the sky and toast the true meaning of Aloha!

AN OCEAN OF TIME
CHAPTER 2 FROM PAPEETE TO LAUTOKA
AGE OF THE ARCHIPELAGO

You’ll continue to explore the Ocean of Time as you sail onwards to Bora Bora, the Cook Islands and Samoa, crossing the International Date Line as you do. This unique event, a must for any world cruiser, will be celebrated on board Silver Dawn with a dedicated event and ceremony. You’ll enjoy a deeper look at the lifestyles and locals of these rarelyvisited islands thanks to curated experiences and performances, with a visit to Pago Pago, the capital of American Samoa and an entirely new world cruise destination.

BORA BORA (FRENCH POLYNESIA) / 31 January
Essentially an extinct volcano surrounded by a lagoon and coral reef, this idyllic island’s name in ancient Tahitian — Pora pora mai te pora — means “created by the gods”. They must have loved art, as the bays of Bora Bora are painted in a kaleidoscope of colours: dark indigo for deeper waters, blue and green pastels closer to shore, and thousands of reds, blues and purples for its coral reefs.
RAROTONGA (COOK ISLANDS) / 2 February
As the beginning of the name of the island suggests, it is indeed rare. With no traffic or even traffic lights to speak of, Rarotonga is a paradise within a paradise, with the Cook Islands among the most beautiful and remote in the world. You’ll explore lush vegetation, encounter unusual wildlife, and taste a series of local delicacies as you soak up the South Pacific sun across the island.
APIA (SAMOA) / 7 February
Samoa is located at the crossroads of the Pacific and, also, of history. A key island for ocean exploration throughout the ages, its capital Apia is nestled in a paradise of tranquil hills and beautiful seafronts, including Vaiala Beach and a stretch of bright coral reef, as traditional Samoan houses stand side by side with 19th-century churches and a gorgeous clock tower.
AN OCEAN OF TIME
CHAPTER 3 FROM LAUTOKA TO BRISBANE
THE IDLE ISLES

Take a long look at some of the lesser-known gems of Melanesia, a sun-drenched region known for both its beauty and its biodiversity. Explore new destinations such as Nouméa, New Caledonia, a melting pot of a city that features local Kanak culture mixed with deep French influences. Glide among brilliantly coloured coral reefs as you make friends with sea turtles, right before taking a breather under the sun on several incredible beaches, including Vanuatu’s one-of-a-kind Champagne Beach.

KADAVU ISLAND (FIJI) / 12 February
A new destination for our world cruise, Kadavu Island features the Great Astrolabe Reef, a pristine site teeming with vibrant marine life found nowhere else. Take your time and get to know the locals, including the colourful Kadavu parrot, before dining on a delicious traditional Fijian lovo: a flavourful meal cooked for an extra-long period of time in an underground oven next to a traditional home.
CHAMPAGNE BEACH (VANUATU) / 15 February
This world-famous stretch of coast is named after an aweinspiring and distinctive feature: at the exact point its crystalclear waters meet the shoreline, volcanic gases rise up through the soft sand to make it look like Champagne is bubbling up right at your feet. The surrounding bay and waters are just as exceptional, waiting to be explored at your leisure.
LIFOU (NEW CALEDONIA) / 17 February
One of the best kept secrets of the Pacific, Lifou is a recent addition to our World Cruise and is largely untouched and unspoiled. Each of its beaches offers something a bit different, from immaculate white sand and calm waters to magnificent wind-swept cliffs overlooking picturesque bays. A small island paradise worlds away from anything else.

FROM BRISBANE TO CAPE TOWN

CHAPTER 4 FROM BRISBANE TO SINGAPORE
THE SPIRIT OF OZ

Explore the ancient temples of Semarang and UNESCO World Heritage site Borobodur for a look at Indonesia’s past, before arriving in Singapore for a keen look at the future.

CAIRNS (AUSTRALIA) / 25-26 February
From lagoons to natural parks to lush rainforests, Cairns is a microcosm of life on Earth, teeming with distinctive fauna including the platypus, actual dragons, and more. Explore the pristine beaches of this tropical outpost and learn all about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history of the area before diving into some delicious local seafood.
BENOA, BALI (INDONESIA) / 5-6 March
Benoa is the best of Bali, with incredible blue-green waters, a large variety of fascinating marine wildlife, and an occasional glimpse of traditional Balinese life through the area’s temples and fishing villages. At the northern end of the peninsula is Pasar Desa Pakraman, a market where local fishermen sell their catch from early in the morning all the way to midnight.
SINGAPORE (SINGAPORE) / 11-12 March
This island city-country is a heady blend of yesterday and tomorrow, with sparkling high-rises towering over traditional outdoor street markets. Your overnight stay will allow you to enjoy the many layers of this unique metropolis, and take in magical views over the Singapore Straits, the Bay’s canopy of amazing gardens, and world-renowned Supertree Grove.

GEORGE TOWN, PENANG (MALAYSIA) / 14 March
Explore this colourful multi-cultural city that vibrates and resonates with music and life in every corner, including great street art and even better street food. With Malay, Chinese and Indian influences in both food and culture, Penang is a lively traveller’s paradise of curiosity, with so many things to see and do in a relatively small city area.
HAMBANTOTA (SRI LANKA) / 18-19 March
Encounter a large variety of wildlife up-close and personal in Hambantota, as you take in the awesome natural ecosystem of this region, including a safari experience at Yala National Park. Relax seaside with traditional Sri Lankan tea, sipped leisurely as you listen to the swaying palm trees and local bird species singing their song.
COLOMBO (SRI LANKA) / 20-21 March
Thanks to an extended two-day stay in the political and cultural capital of Sri Lanka, you’ll enjoy a deeper exploration of the city, including a visit to Kandy, its sacred citadel. Enjoy a rich selection of seafood delicacies, including Sri Lanka’s world-famous crabs, as you uncover a unique blend of past and present in the city’s eclectic architecture.
CHAPTER 6 FROM MAHÉ TO CAPE TOWN
BACK TO THE ORIGINS

Before rounding the southern tip of the African continent, you’ll explore a life-affirming collection of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the iconic volcanoes, or pitons, of Pointe des Galets, with at least one volcano still active with the original fire that birthed the island of Réunion. You’ll visit Port Elizabeth and famed Richards Bay, the gateway to incredible wildlife reserve iSimangaliso Wetland Park, and Durban, home to the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park, yet another UNESCO site.

PORT LOUIS (MAURITIUS) / 31 March
Nestled among verdant hills and small craggy peaks, the capital of Mauritius buzzes with activity throughout the day and night. With fascinating places such as the Champ de Mars, the second oldest horse-racing club in the world, UNESCO World Heritage Site Aapravasi Ghat (“Immigration Depot” in Hindi), and several Indian temples, the soul of this city is both new and old.
PORT ELIZABETH, GQEBERHA (SOUTH AFRICA) / 8 April
Gqeberha, or simply P.E. as some of the locals call it, is a sparkling city in Algoa Bay. Dotted with Victorian landmarks, the city gives way to the Addo and Lalibela Nature Parks, featuring elephants, rhinos and other big game. You’ll be there at the right time of day to experience up-close encounters with this unique wildlife upon joining a fascinating game drive.
LANGEBAAN (SOUTH AFRICA) / 10 April
An entirely new destination for our world cruise, Langebaan was selected following some deep scouting of South Africa by our team of travellers. An exclusive Silversea destination, this picturesque seaside locale is known for its breathtaking turquoise lagoon and pristine beaches, though you’ll never forget the bright and dramatic colours of its fields and fields of blooming wildflowers.

FROM CAPE TOWN TO BELFAST
An Ocean of Discovery

CHAPTER 7 FROM CAPE TOWN TO DAKAR
THE COAST OF WONDERS

Discover the west coast of Africa as you travel north and call at a series of diverse and distinctive ports, each providing something different for your exploration. Learn about the unusual history of Luderitz in Namibia as you admire the untouched nature that surrounds this small, quaint seaside town. Then immerse yourself in the tapestry of natural beauty that is Walvis Bay, before exploring Takoradi, a dual-city with a heady mix of cultural influences also found in other pleasant ports such as Abidjan and Banjul.

WALVIS BAY (NAMIBIA) / 15-16 April
Home to a beautiful lagoon washed pale pink by a colony of resident flamingos, Walvis Bay is a natural wonder, featuring some of Africa’s most colourful wildlife. Just beyond the bay, at the edge of the Namib desert, is famous Dune 7, rising up 380 metres. The highest sand dune in Africa, it gets its name as the seventh dune you encounter after crossing the river Tsauchab.
LUANDA (ANGOLA) / 19 April
The capital of Angola has a rich history full of twists and turns, almost as many as those found on its seafront promenade. Running alongside Luanda Bay, it ends at the pristinely-preserved 16th-century Fortress of São Miguel and its unique museum, with incredible views over the harbour and Ilha do Cabo, a long peninsula home to an assortment of exciting bars, lounges and restaurants.

PRAIA, SANTIAGO ISLAND (CAPE VERDE) / 2 May
Almost 500 km off the coast of mainland Africa, the remoteness of Cape Verde has allowed the archipelago’s natural wildlife to flourish into a sort of mini Galápagos, with unusual flora and fauna and astounding landscapes.
