Introduction
Narratives in artmaking have long enjoyed rich histories across cultures and borders. Narratives are vehicles for human communications that range from personal statements to an entire nation's development. Narratives exist everywhere throughout space and time, in different forms. Shakespeare ’s plays, TV commercials, SMS text messages, and abstract YouTube videos are all narratives. We often look to narrative for the key to understanding art, whether it be static (still images) or durational (timebased) art. We ask ourselves and each other: What is the story of this artwork?
In the exhibition Narratives that we have now curated, the student artists share an interest in storytelling traditions. They are fascinated by multiple perspectives and interpretations. They are seeking out unusual visual languages to express themselves. This exhibition is a diverse form of reciprocal conversation, a discussion that emerges from the artworks energized by the artists’ renewed belief in art as the most powerful tool for mediology.
From digital to live performance, the student projects in the Narratives exhibition reflect contemporary technologized life— a reflection that not only mirrors, but also critically engages us in the stories we tell and the art we create.

介紹
藝術創作中，「敘事」橫跨了不同的文化和國界，富有悠 久的歷史。從個人論述到整體國家的發展，敘事作為人 類個體之間交流的載體。藉由不同形式，敘事在任何時 空中隨處可見。莎士比亞的戲劇、電視廣告、文字簡訊， 抑或YouTube上的抽象影片，皆是所謂的「敘事」。無 論是靜態的圖像，或是具有時間連續性的藝術，我們時 常依靠敘事去明白，反思和詢問：這件藝術作品背後的 故事是什麼？
在我們策劃的展覽《Narratives》中，敘事方式是學生 藝術家們共同探索的主題。著迷於多方角度的觀看和解 讀方式的他們，尋找著獨特的視覺語言表達自我。
《Narratives》是眾多媒材之間的交互對話，是從作品 之中湧現而出的討論，充分展現藝術家們對藝術作為強 大媒介學工具的信念。
藉由數位化的作品，或是現場演出的形式， 《Narratives》中的作品反映現代生活與科技彼此的融 合：不僅僅單純是真實的描繪，更幫助我們緊密連結於 藝術作品與想訴說的的故事之中。

在荒涼破舊公寓樓頂搭建綠幕，獨 自靜靜地過著居家生活，綠幕後製 的背景襯托起憂愁，有強烈的一走 了之的渴望，卻無處可逃，似若無 家、毫無歸屬的悲戚。
自創歌曲的旋律混合迷茫溶解在水 杯裡，看不見，卻不曾消逝。

呈現自身消化創傷時的過程，與在這之 中接收來自他人附加於自身同情的反應 及抗議。
當帶有不同色彩的同樣性質東西混合， 那將不會是想像中的白，而會是黑色。
我不喜歡吃西瓜。

法規劃並追求著，成為了看似很有想法 的人，但那真的是我們的想法嗎？還是 是社會給予的思維而我們無意識的引用 且為之。
為什麼我們追求金錢、名譽、地位？我
們曾想過這些事為何存在嗎？我們曾想 過一切的一切都不是理所當然的嗎？

身為人的本質、存在意義或許不能被清楚定義 一隻機械手，對於正常人來說是身外之物 但義肢對於身障者卻是使他們更為接近「正常人」 對於現代的手機的依賴，可說是成為了人機能的一部分 在後人類的解釋下，人更是在四處遺留的信息 或許這隻機械手，可能是你我將來的驅殼
