Poly Banners If you are truly looking for a cheap, one-time banner, then poly banner material is the way to go. Although poly banners display graphics well, the material is not designed to be used outdoors or for

any extended period of time. Although slightly more expensive, 13 ounce vinyl banners offer much better durability and longevity and are a great alternative to poly banners.

Mesh Banner Signs Mesh banners are digitally printed in full color using 10 ounce vinyl.

The material has crisscrossed fibers that allow air and sound to pass through, making them the perfect choice for outdoor events. The tiny holes, which are a more aesthetically pleasing alternative to putting wind slits in vinyl banners, create a product that is resistant to the wind without sacrificing the quality of the printed graphics.

Mesh material can be used to produce large banners, which are generally finished with heat welded hems and grommets, and can be reinforced with pole pockets for added security.

Vinyl Banners Vinyl is undoubtedly the most versatile of banner materials. Printed on 13 ounce vinyl, vinyl banners offer large size and full color options that are extremely durable, lightweight, and easy to install both indoors and out. Installation typically involves grommet holes every two to four feet around the perimeter, which allow the sign to be hung using anything from bungees to Velcro. Whether your banner is

only expected be used once, or you’re looking for a banner that will endure a little more wear and tear, vinyl is an economical and durable option.

When it comes to fabric banners, there are two options of material – fabric soft, which is the most common, and satin fabric, which has a glossier finish to it.

Fabric banners are typically finished with a folded sewn hem and grommets for hanging.

Canvas Banners

Canvas banners have a heavier feel to them, but don’t be fooled, they are typically for indoor use only and won’t stand up to the elements. Canvas banners are commonly used for high end backdrops and finished with sewn hems and grommets or pole pockets.
