The Houshek’s wanted a home that felt like they were on holiday everyday. The Karere design fit the brief perfectly, a standout family home with all of life’s luxuries.
The couple wanted a striking cedar look exterior, this was achieved through the use of Abodo Tundra, an attractive, cost-effective and sustainable option. Further visual appeal was achieved with Resene’s Rockcote Integra, which helps to balance out the timber. The stunning large windows with multiple skylights complete this gorgeous light-filled home.
The exterior colour palette is continued indoors through calm wood flooring while dramatic black accents add a little luxury to the home. The wooden floors are carried through into the bold stairwell, where a feature light fixture and a dark distressed wood feature wall come together adding a stunning contrast to the space.
The ‘wooden’ theme is introduced back again in the master bedroom in a different tone to add a sense of character to the home.
Whilst the most dominate colour palette for the home is white, colour is introduced through the furnishings, and cool feature walls to create points of difference throughout the home.
