Good Signage Has Great Benefits There can be little doubt that those individuals, businesses or companies that use advertising and good signage will always have an advantage over those who are not all that visible, no matter the method we use to make sure people notice us. Signage has as its aim to remind people of who we are, where to find us and to make sure we are remembered. Therefore, in a way, all signage is a form of advertising our presence as either a marketer, a service, or a presence. Different signs are used for different reasons. Some signs such as those along the highway or a path show direction, big signs at outdoor meetings draw the crowds, vehicle signs help other road users to remember you, the A-frame outside your shop is an easy way for visitors to notice you. There are, of course, many more examples. One sign that has been popular for many years remains the so-called channel letter sign. It is that well-known sign normally made from plastic or metal – or other material depending on the company that makes them – which we see all the time on public buildings, either outside or in passage ways, or inside shopping malls, in fact anywhere an owners wants to make a special impression since these are, as a rule, lit or internally illuminated.
