FROM THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES Greetings to fellow Spokane Club Members,

When I wrote my last update on board activities, it was cold and snowing outside my window, but today the sun is shining, spring has come and gone, and summer is around the corner. With the arrival of summer and sunshine, we know that the patio is the place to go to enjoy fun in the sun, along with great food and beverages! Let me know, and I will save you a seat. As I am coming up towards the end of my time as your Chair of the Board of Trustees, I can’t believe a year has almost passed.

I want to take the time to thank the Board of Trustees for volunteering their time to assist in ensuring the

Spokane Club legacy continues. Their dedication and willingness to serve should not go unnoticed.

The Board continues to focus on ensuring that the club maintains financial stability, a continuation of executing capital improvement projects, assisting in the governance of the Spokane Club, and ensuring that all members receive great member experiences for themselves and their guests.

With the end of the fiscal year almost here, I want to invite you, the members, to the General Membership Meeting, June 20th, at 5:00 p.m. At this meeting we will conduct some formal board business as well as recap the past 12 months, along with looking forward into the future. I look forward to seeing you.

Jack G. Lucas, Board Chair

Please take time to visit your club. The club continues to offer a great variety of activities for the upcoming summer and don’t forget to enjoy the great dining experience at the club.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Thank you, Jack

G. Lucas

MEET THE MARCH AND APRIL EMPLOYEES OF THE MONTH!

Fatima, Housekeeping Supervisor, has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication to her role, and her contributions have not gone unnoticed. Her hard work and positive attitude have set a wonderful example for her colleagues, and we are proud to have her as a member of our team. The employee of the month committee looked at the many ways Fatima regularly gives to the club, but not only the club. As many of you may be aware, one of Fatima’s team member’s family recently suffered a loss due to fire. Fatima aided and helped to raise over 2 thousand dollars for the affected family members. This truly embodies the club's value of being Community Minded. One of the goals of the Spokane Club is to support and celebrate the economic and social health and well-being of our club community and the community in which we live and work.

Featured Trainer

Fitness can be an intimidating field, but Monica, Personal Trainer, helps make exercise approachable for everyone. During personal training sessions, she provides her clients with individualized guidance to help them reach their goals. She helps make fitness fun by leading upbeat group fitness classes, with modifications offered to allow members of various levels of athleticism to participate. The conditioning room stays in top condition thanks to the consistent attention to detail that she shows while maintaining the equipment. On top of all these responsibilities, Monica took the initiative to organize and lead the Hiking Club, which is officially underway with the warmer weather finally here! All these qualities have helped create a warm, welcoming, and unintimidating environment for members to work towards their fitness goals. Monica is an invaluable member of the Spokane Club and it is our privilege to offer her this award.
