AQUATICS UPDATE

Summer of 2023 is upon us, and with it comes several updates from Spokane Club Aquatics!

The last of our Spokane Club Penguins’ swim meets are taking place on June 1st and June 29th before joining the city’s outdoor meets at Witter Pool. Come check it out and get dinner from our brand-new outdoor kitchen while you’re at it!

Along with that, we are bringing in new equipment starting with noodles, dumbbells, and belts for our Aqua fitness classes, so join our amazing instructors at 7:15 am or 8:15 am on Mondays and Wednesdays, or our 7:15 am class on Fridays to put them to good use. We are also purchasing allnew kickboards and flippers for Masters Swimming, our Penguins Swim Team, and any lap swimmers who wish to use them. However, of all our new additions to equipment, the most exciting by far will be a new water polo net, along with balls and headgear! Starting end of June, on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm, we will be introducing pickup water polo for all ages. You’ll see a fast-paced, half-court setup if you stop by, so add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Sport Shop to get further information.

As for our Penguin Swim School, due to high demand, we are adding more Parent/Tot classes starting at 5 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you’re unable to make these, check out the classes we have for various ages and skill levels Mondays and Wednesdays after school, or on Saturday mornings.

Lastly, we are extending family swim hours throughout the summer from 10 am-7 pm on weekdays and 9 am-3 pm on weekends. As always, you can find more information under the pool tab of Members.SpokaneClub.org or by emailing our Aquatics Coordinator at TCooper@SpokaneClub.org
