Celebrated German director Thomas Ostermeier takes on Ibsen’s 19th century play in a radical stage production. With his signature aesthetic and gritty realism, to a Southeast Asia stage for the first time, the internationally renowned theatre director Thomas Ostermeier’s take on Henrik Ibsen’s play about a man’s crusade to tell the truth at all costs. In between a rock band rehearsal, hipster costumes, riffs from David Bowie, and an electrifying climax where the audience is called upon to participate in a rowdy debate, the remarkable production boldly tackles very contemporary dilemmas that seem to have added resonance six years on.
