Staying Safe on Site

Each part of the business has a safety rep - check with your line manager or ask a member of the environmental health and safety (EHS) team so you know who yours is.
• Please see the separate EHS pocket guide for fuller details of our 'zero harm' culture. Here are a few essential reminders: • Please observe the 10mph speed limit in the car park, always reverse park, keep to the walkways and only use designated crossing points • Across the site and in the production areas, mobile phone calls should only be made in designated safe areas (segregated walkways). • Please refrain from making calls, texting and reading emails while walking, operating equipment or using stairs.

Personal mobiles are not permitted in production areas • Food and drinks - including chewing gum - cannot be taken into or consumed in the production area of the factory

• Hot drinks should always be carried with a lid • All vehicles moving within the factory must have a yellow flashing light when in motion. The speed limit for vehicles in production areas is approximately a walking pace • Do not touch the blade unless your activity requires it All contractors/visitors must wear a high visibility vest when on-site in addition to the mandatory PPE • All working at-height equipment must be checked before use • Follow the implemented control measures when performing activities that produce noise and/or vibration • Only chemicals with environmental health and safety (EHS) evaluation is permitted on site • All lifting operations must only be planned and conducted by trained, competent staff • All portable electrical equipment must undergo portable appliance testing (PAT) as per the site schedule
